This Revelation Timeline Decoded post features a video from Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship called The Seventh Trumpet: The Fall Of Jerusalem And Rise Of The New Covenant Kingdom.
This message was preached by Pastor Chuck Baldwin on Sunday, 4/9/23, during the service at Liberty Fellowship.
Before I begin my review of Pastor Chuck Baldwin’s explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin has read the explanations of the great theologians of the 16th-20th centuries and and he cites them when something they say helps support his preterist explanations.
But then he purposely leaves out their historicist explanations of the trumpet judgments against the Roman Empire, which misleads people into thinking that they supported the preterist viewpoint.
With Pastor Baldwin, there’s a consistent theme to teach the false preterist explanation of Revelation and to mock the false futurist explanation. By doing this, he is hiding the truth historicist explanation that many great theologians have taught.
These reviews serve as an open rebuttal of his explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that Revelation 10 – 11:14 are the introduction to seventh trumpet.
His explanation hides that Revelation 10-11 are describing the need for the Protestant Reformation after the Dark Ages, when the antichrist beast popes banned and burned the Scriptures, and killed millions of Messiah’s saints; which are the two witnesses against the popes of Rome and their harlot church.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the little book of Revelation 10:2 was a short private revelation that Christ gave to the Apostle John.
He says that John was told not to share his revelation in the little book.
This is a made-up narrative with no proof or application.
The little book of Revelation 10:2 is directly related to the narrative of Revelation 10:11, And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
With the Scriptures back in their hands, the Protestant Reformers proclaimed the Gospel around the world, and many Catholic were redeemed for the kingdom.
With the timely advent of the printing press, the little book, the printed Bible, was spread around the world witnessing about the pure Gospel, and identifying the popes of Rome as the son of perdition, antichrist beast who lead the harlot church of Rome.
The Scriptures were sweet because they proclaimed the glorious Gospel, and they were bitter because the Protestant Reformation caused the antichrist beast pope to empower the Jesuit army to fight against Messiah’s saints, torturing and killing tens of millions during the Inquisition.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the seven thunders of Revelation 10:3 are unknown.
Most likely that were bulls issued from the antichrist beast popes in response to the two witnesses, the Scriptures and the saints, coming back to life during the Protestant Reformation.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that Revelation 11:1 is pointing to the temple in Jerusalem, which gives prove that Revelation was written before the desolation of the temple in 70 AD.
He says that the great Bible scholars of yesteryear understood that the measuring of the temple of God refers to the temple in Jerusalem.
He cited one theologian whose explanation agrees with his explanation, but here are quotes from other great theologians, which refute his teaching.
Matthew Poole points to temple in Jeru destroyed, church of Messiah.
This temple was a type of the church under the New Testament, 1Co 3:17; 2Co 6:16, and is so to be interpreted generally in this book: for the material temple at Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans more than twenty years before this prophecy, never to be built more; not one stone was left upon another; so that John here was bid to measure the church.
John Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible
and by “the temple of God” is here meant the church, of which the temple was a type; a true church of Christ consists of lively stones, hewed and fitted for this spiritual building by the Spirit of God;
The People’s New Testament Commentary
This cannot mean the literal temple. It was not in the part of the world where John was, if it had been standing; nor was it then standing. What is meant is that of which the temple was a symbol; viz., the Church
Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary
The state of the church is represented under the figure of a temple measured.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship points to Scofield dispensationalists who point to the need for a future rebuilt temple.
He’s right that futurism points to a literal temple, but what he’s doing is hiding the historicist narrative of prophecy fulfillment.
Ironically, Pastor Baldwin incorrectly says that Revelation 11 is pointing to a physical temple.
But both the preterists and futurists are wrong, as the ‘temple’ that is being referred to in Revelation 11 is the ‘body of Messiah, made up of his saints’. Messiah is the cornerstone of the temple, the apostles are the foundation and the saints are the little stones that make up the walls.
The command to ‘measure the temple’ in Revelation 11 was primarily fulfilled by Catholic monk Martin Luther, who was given the Scriptures and told to compare what the Popes of Rome taught against the Scriptures.
He found out that the Roman Catholic Church is an apostate church, and not part of the true church(temple), so he delegated them to the outer court of Gentiles.
Once again, Pastor Baldwin’s explanation serves to hide the true historicist explanation.
Read Revelation 11 – Measuring The Temple
Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the Revelation 11:3 two witnesses are unnamed Hebrew Christian disciples who God left in Jerusalem to witness against the Jews through the Roman invasion.
This is another made-up narrative. There is no record of them by Josephus or any other Jewish historian.
The two witnesses are the Scriptures and the saints, who the antichrist beast popes had nearly wiped out during the Dark Ages. In May, 1514, the Roman Church declared that there were as good as dead, as all of Christendom lay under their authority.
Then exactly 3 1/2 years later, on October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 Thesis which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the two witnesses back to life.
Luther translated the Scriptures into German, Tyndale into English. And the the printing press, the little book of Revelation 10, the printed Bible was spread around the world.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that one of the two witnesses was probably a civil leader and the other a priest.
This is another made-up narrative, as Scripture does not proclaim that they were a civil leader and a priest.
What Pastor Baldwin is hiding is that it’s the fake priest in Rome, the pope who pretends to represent Messiah but teaches a false Gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father; who the two witnesses were testifying against.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the two witnesses were calling not for the temples construction, but deconstruction.
The two witnesses testify against the antichrist beast popes and their harlot church of Rome.
The two witnesses are calling for the judgment of the harlot Roman Catholic Church, which has the veneer of the Scriptural faith but symbolically carries out the Babylonian Mystery Religion.
She has misled billions of Catholics with a false gospel in the name of Jesus Christ. She has been drunk with the blood of the saints, killing tens of millions during the Dark Ages and Inquisition.
Her judgment draws, but the explanations of Pastor Chuck Baldwin serve to hide her identity.
Read Revelation 17 – Mystery Babylon
Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that it’s not real fire coming out of the two witnesses mouths.
I agree, it’s the Scriptures being proclaimed which causes men to be burned.
What Pastor Baldwin is hiding is that the two witnesses, the Scriptures and the saints, testified against the antichrist beast popes during their 1,260-year civil reign of power from 538-1798 AD.
Here’s a wood-cut drawing that Martin Luther had made, which shows Luther and another Reformer standing in the great city of Rome, speaking Scriptural truth (fire) against the Satan-empowered antichrist beast popes of Rome; fulfilling Revelation 11:5 “And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies.”
On the left, you see two dead saints, witnesses, laying in the street, which fulfills Revelation 11:8 “And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city.”
The explanations of Pastor Chuck Baldwin serve to hide the glorious fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation, and deflect blame away from the enemies of Messiah and His saints, the popes of Rome and their harlot church.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship then says that Revelation 11:6 is literal.
“These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.”
So he points to a literal temple in Revelation 11:1, then says that Revelation 11:5 is not literal, and now says that Revelation 11:6 is literal.
This is another made-up narrative, as there is no record of them by Josephus or any other Jewish historian.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship cites Revelation 11:15, saying that the focus from now on is not on earth but in heaven, as the destruction of Jerusalem is complete.
“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15
He says that with the destruction of Jerusalem, the times of earthly prophecy ceased.
This is a wrong association, as many prophecies were yet to be fulfilled after the two witnesses.
The vials in Revelation 16 are about the judgment of the harlot Roman Catholic Church and the antichrist beast pope of Rome.
The earth beast of Revelation 13 points to the end-times phase of the Roman beast kingdom, with two leaders (horns), the antichrist beast pope and the false prophet Jesuit Superior General; who pretend to be priests of Messiah (like a lamb) but really serve Satan (the dragon) to make war with Messiah and His saints.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that there is no such things as a singular antichrist.
I agree with this statement, as the office of the papacy, the popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and ‘the beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that anytime you hear someone cites a prophecy about time after the seventh trumpet, you can know in your heart and mind that they don’t know what he’s talking about. He has no clue about the book of Revelation at all.
The sad irony of his statement is that he assigns most of the prophecies in Revelation to the time of the first century, but the truth is that most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exactly detail during the last 1,900 years; which invalidates preterism and shows that Pastor Chuck Baldwin has no clue about the book of Revelation at all!

Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the temple in Revelation 11:19 is not the temple in Jerusalem, it’s in heaven, it’s the church.
So he proclaims that the temple in Revelation 11:1 was the physical temple in Jerusalem in the first century, but the temple 18 verses later is spiritual.
The temple in Revelation 11:1 is the spiritual temple that’s made without hands. It’s Messiah’s Ekklesia, His Church, as Messiah is the cornerstone, the disciples the foundation and the saints the stones that make up the walls.
We are called to measure what a ‘christian’ church teaches with the rule of Scripture, to see if they teach the Scriptural Gospel and Messiah. If they don’t, then they are not part of the true temple and are part of the outer court of Gentiles.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the second coming of Christ is part of Revelation’s seventh trumpet.
What he’s missing, or hiding, is that the seven vial judgments are poured out as part of the seventh trumpet, so it’s not about Messiah’s return.
Revelation 15:1 says “And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”
Here’s a summary of the first five vial judgments:
Because France, Spain and other countries revered the Pope, bowed to his authority and followed his commands to kill millions of Protestants, they had the mark of the beast on them, so Elohim poured out His wrath on them with the bowl judgments.
The first vial was poured out when the Jesuits caused the foul and loathsome sore of atheism to spread across France. The French Protestants had been killed, so the Catholic religion was all that was left. Elohim allowed the abomination of atheism to turn the French people away from the Papal Church.
The second vial was poured out as the Jesuits incited the French people to revolt against the Catholic Church leaders and France’s leaders, and their heads rolled. During the French Revolution 250,000 were killed in the very places that the French Protestants had been killed. Water symbolically represents people. In this case, it represents the French people in the large cities being killed.
The third vial was poured out as the bloody French Revolution spread out from the major cities (seas) to the more rural areas (rivers and springs, smaller groups of people) where they had shed the blood of saints and prophets, and now it was time for them to drink the same fate.
The fourth vial was poured out as the Jesuits caused the bloody Napoleonic wars with countries that had previously banned them, so they were getting their revenge. The ‘sun’ represents the mighty military leader Napoleon, who within the space of eight years, scorched every kingdom in Europe, from Naples to Berlin, and from Lisbon to Moscow. Elohim used it to exact revenge against the countries that had shed the blood of His followers. But the leaders of the countries did not repent, they blasphemed Elohim for His punishment.
The fifth vial was poured out on the ‘seat of the beast,’ as the office of the Papacy lost their power in 1798 AD. Shortly after the French Revolution, the Papal States were invaded by French forces, and they removed Pope Pius VI, who died in exile in Valence (France) in 1799. Their 1,260-year reign was ended by the hand of Elohim, but they repented not. They blasphemed Elohim because of the pains and sores of losing their authority.
This historical fulfillment of the first five vial judgments proves Pastor Baldwin’s declaration is invalid.
Whether Pastor Baldwin is woefully deceived or a deceiver doesn’t matter, as the effect of his explanations serve to deflect blame away from the enemy of Messiah and His saints, and hide the true historical fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation.
I prove out the historical fulfillment of most of the prophecies in Revelation during the last 1,900 years, which validate historicist explanations and invalidates the preterist explanation of Pastor Chuck Baldwin.
Messiah’s apocalyptic vision is a war manual, designed to hide the explanation from those who should not understand it. It uses symbolic words that are defined in the Old Testament to point to a literal fulfillment. If you read Revelation only from a literal perspective, the interpretation is hidden.
Understanding the vision is like taking a Biblical final exam. If you’ve read the whole Word, you will have seen the symbolism that Messiah uses and can apply it to the fulfillment.
If you read Revelation as one chronological narrative, the prophecies seem out of sequence. That’s because it has four chronological layers, each of which spans from when it was written until Messiah returns.
