Before I begin my review of Dr. John Barnett’s explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
These reviews serve as an open rebuttal of their explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!
The title of the video tells you that Dr. John Barnett has nothing to teach you about the fulfillment of Revelation.
His explanation is based on a pretribulation rapture taking place before a 7-year tribulation period.
The pre-trib / mid-trib / post-trib rapture debate is based on the concept of a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, but that is a deception to fool the end times saints.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the everlasting covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about the end times or the antichrist.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries asks, who goes through the tribulation and why? He says Israel.
He’s lumping the prophecies about great tribulation in Daniel 12, Matthew 24 and Revelation, into one event, which is a false association.
They do not point to one event in the end times and they’ve all already been fulfilled during the last 2,000 years, as the saints have faced persecution from the pagan Roman Emperors and the antichrist beast popes.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries says that 20% of the Bible is about this time.
This is a false statement!
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years, but the explanations from Dr. John Barnett are hiding the truth.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries points to Jeremiah 30:7, time of Jacob’s trouble.
The time of Jacob’s Trouble took place against the Jewish leaders during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD, when 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
This was their punishment for continuing in their continued rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for rejecting His Son and delivering Him up to be killed in the middle of the 70th week of Daniel. Daniel 12 foretold the 3 1/2 years of the Jewish-Roman War. Messiah’s disciples fled Judea to the mountains as Messiah told them and the Jewish leaders stayed in Jerusalem and were desolated.
Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries says that Romans 9-11 talks about God’s sovereign election of Israel.
In Romans 9, Paul declares that ‘not all Israel is Israel.’ His point is that a true Israelite is one who has a covenant relationship with the Father through Messiah.
In Romans 11, Paul declares that ‘all Israel shall be saved.’ He is not pointing to the modern Zionist state of Israel, but rather is pointing to the true Israelites, those who believe in Messiah, being saved from the calamity which came upon the unbelieving Jewish nation during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD. The saints heeded Messiah’s warning to flee Judea to the mountains for safety.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries says that Luke 21 and Matthew 24 point to the end of the world.
All of the things that Messiah described from Matthew 23:36 to Matthew 24:33 were fulfilled by 70 AD when the Romans desolated Jerusalem, the temple, and the Jewish nation. The enemy has deceived people about the symbolism of the sun, moon, and stars being darkened; Messiah coming in power and glory; and the elect being gathered. But the Bible gives the proper definitions for the symbols.
We need to take Messiah at His Word and look at how the things that He described were about the Jewish nation, for their punishment of continuing their rebellion against the Father, for delivering Messiah up to be killed, and for persecuting His disciples.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries points to the antichrist making war with the saints, as foretold in Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13
The antichrist beast popes have already reigned in power for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. They caused tens of millions of saints to be tortured and killed during the Dark Ages and Inquisition.
Dr. John Barnett is misleading people by pointing to a one-man antichrist who only appears in the end times.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries teaches a false, futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years. It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.

I’ve taken what you’ve proved out in all three of your books side by side with Scripture and solidified these truths for myself. The historical and Biblical accounts have now afforded me a much more complete and broader understanding of prophecy, that now makes complete sense, consequently, enabling me to explain to others much better! And I stress, all the pieces of the ‘puzzle’ finally fit!! Thanks to your great efforts; glory to God!
The one person in my family that has been a mentor to, in the Word for almost four decades, unfortunately, still holds to the 7 year futuristic pre-rapture theory, I really don’t get that!! Scripture IS CLEAR, and irrefutable!!
After many years in the Word myself, I’ve come to realize one unfortunate thing, MANY Christians adhere to ‘confirmation bias’ they hold to their ‘favorite’ pastor and/or ‘teaching’ and just can’t let go! The funny thing is, ALL Christians who adhere to the futuristic view, CANNOT prove out the theory using Scripture, they ALWAYS speculate! And it always ends with.. well, I believe there is a 2000 year gap in the Daniel 70th week prophecy, this is ridiculous and clearly NOT supported anywhere in Scripture, period! On the contrary, we know, Scripture clearly shows it was fulfilled in the 1st century!
I was accused of holding to a preterist view, this is hilarious, my response was; in which year did Jesus carry out His ministry, die for our sins and put an end to temple sacrifices! No one can argue the fact it was fulfilled in the 70th week/1st century, … this person’s response was no response, why? cause a logical response is not possible and NOT supported by Scripture!!
Fortunately, other members of my family now understand the irrefutable facts; my niece purchased all three of your books as well.
The historical and Biblical accounts are clear; I would challenge anyone to refute it! It’s not possible! If one is truly honest with him/herself, they’d have to admit that the futuristic concept of the 70th week of Daniel, 7 year Tribulation/pre-rapture theory is SERIOUSLY flawed and does not hold up to Scripture!

I appreciate your zeal in studying Bible prophecy and proving it out. And for sharing it with others.
People’s minds have been programmed through repetition with the false, futuristic prophecy fulfillment explanations. We were the same way. Thankfully the Spirit opened our eyes to see the truth.
All you can do is share the one-page 70th week of Daniel 9 PDF summary and pray that people will see the truth. If they don’t, there’s not much else we can do.
Yeah, I get called a preterist too, as people have a false association about the historicist narrative of prophecy fulfillment.
We’re historicist who prove how several major prophecies were historically fulfilled in the first century.
