Video description: MARANATHA Global Bible Study // The Rapture and the Endurance of the Saints Episode 19: Victorinus Refuting the False Claims of Pretribbers.
Before I begin my review of Joel Richardson’s explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
These reviews serve as an open rebuttal of their explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!
This pretribulation rapture series from Joel Richardson of FAI Studios is based on a false premise.
Joel is teaching that there is no pretribulation rapture before a 7-year tribulation period.
The pre-trib / mid-trib / post-trib rapture debate is based on the concept of a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, but that is a deception to fool the end times saints.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the everlasting covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about the end times or the antichrist.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that throughout the overwhelming, vast majority of church history, lay leaders, pastors, bishops, scholars and theologians have universally taught a post-tribulational rapture.
This is a misleading statement, as up until a few centuries ago, most people believed that the prophecies in Revelation have been in the process of being fulfilled since the apocalyptic vision was given to John.
They did not believe in a futuristic 7-year tribulation period featuring a one-man antichrist!
In the 16th century, the Protestant Reformers all proclaimed that the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and ‘the beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that it was not until 1830’s and John Nelson Darby.
This is a misleading statement, as most people believed the historicist narrative of prophecy fulfillment, and it’s only been during the last few centuries that the enemy’s false, futuristic prophecy fulfillment explanations have gained a stronghold.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years, but the explanations from Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas are hiding the truth.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that Victorinus wrote a commentary on the fulfillment of Revelation. He taught that the saints would face the great persecution and to face the antichrist.
Once again, this is a misleading statement. Victorinus taught the historicist narrative of prophecy fulfillment, not that most of Revelation would be fulfilled during an end-times 70th week of Daniel 9.
The saints have already faced great tribulation by the antichrist beast popes during the Dark Ages and Inquisition, when tens of millions of saints were tortured and killed.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that humility mandates that we pay attention to what the Holy Spirit has been speaking to His church down throughout history.
Yet Joel pushes aside the witness of millions of saints who have gone before us, who testified against the antichrist beast popes and their harlot church, many paying for their witness with their blood.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios cites Matthew 24:9 and 16 to assign the Olivet Discourse to the end times.
The context of Messiah’s Olivet Discourse is the desolation of the temple that He just came out of, in which He rebuked the Jewish leaders who were seeking to kill Him. He proclaimed that judgment would come upon them in that generation.
We know that within a generation, the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD caused Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish nation to be desolated. 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
All of the things that Messiah described from Matthew 23:36 to Matthew 24:33 were fulfilled by 70 AD. The enemy has deceived people about the symbolism of the sun, moon, and stars being darkened; Messiah coming in power and glory; and the elect being gathered. But the Bible gives the proper definitions for the symbols.
The term ‘this generation’ was used ten times in Matthew, the last time in Matthew 24:34. The previous nine times it points to the Jews who lived during Messiah’s first advent. When you take Messiah at His Word you see the fulfillment of His Olivet Discourse and how the things that He described took place in that generation of Jews, for their punishment of continuing their rebellion against the Father, for delivering Messiah up to be killed, and for persecuting His disciples.
They proclaimed ‘let His blood be on us,’ and that prophetic statement was fulfilled in that generation, during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD, when Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish nation were desolated.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios points to saints blood being shed under the antichrist during the fifth seal.
The sixth seal is not about the reign of the antichrist. It describes the saints who were martyred by the pagan Roman Emperors, whose blood cried out for vengeance, which came as the mighty Roman Empire declined and fell.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios cites Victorinus who says that Elijah as one of the two witnesses.
The two witnesses, the Scriptures and the saints, testified against the antichrist beast popes during their 1,260-year civil reign of power from 538-1798 AD.
The narrative about them being two people in the end times is false.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios cites Cyprian (third century) who said that immediately after antichrist, Jesus is coming back.
Joel mended two statements to make it seem like Cyprian said it that way.
Cyprian pointed to a then futuristic antichrist. The antichrist beast popes have already ruled and reigned. They caused tens of millions of saints to be killed. They already proclaimed to be god, forgive sins and provide salvation.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios cites Cyril of Jerusalem, who lived in the fourth century.
Cyril is simply pointing to the antichrist killing saints. He was not pointing to a one-man antichrist in the end times.
I pray that this posts helps wake you up, so that you can see how the enemy has deceived the end-times saints, for Messiah’s return draw nigh and you don’t want to be caught off-guard like the foolish virgins who don’t have the oil of Scriptural truth to light their way.
Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas teach a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years. It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.
