Hugo Talks RAPTURE READY?? Video Review

This Revelation Timeline Decoded post reviews a video by Hugo Talks called RAPTURE READY??

I’m currently publishing a video series about the fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, to expose the deception that it’s about an end-times seven-year tribulation period.

This video started out well, as Hugo Talks dismisses the concept of a pretribulation rapture based on a futuristic 70th week of Daniel 9. But then it promotes the futuristic narrative of prophecy fulfillment, just like other popular teachers on YouTube.

Hugo Talks gets that the 70th week of Daniel is not future, but applies Revelation and tribulation to the future.

The truth is that most of the prophecies in Revelation have already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years, as the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom have fought against Messiah and His saints.

The pagan Roman Emperors tried to wipe out the early church, killing millions. The Roman Popes banned and burned the Scriptures and caused tens of millions of saints to be killed during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition. These are the things that Messiah is pointing to in His apocalyptic vision.

Hugo Talks says that the concept of the rapture came from the Jesuits to counter the reformation, called futurism.

It’s true that the Jesuit priests created the false narrative of futurism in order to deflect blame away from the popes of Rome.

So how is it that Hugo Talks doesn’t teach that the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and ‘the beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome?

How is it that Hugo Talks doesn’t teach that people like Henry Grattan Guinness wrote books in the last 20th century to teach that the prophecies in Revelation have been in the process of being fulfilled since it was written, to try to counter the false, futuristic narrative of prophecy fulfillment that the Jesuits created?

Hugo Talks points to Revelation 13:7 which he applies to a future one-man antichrist making war with the saints.

The concept of an end-times one-man antichrist is a deception from the Jesuits.

How is it that Hugo Talks doesn’t understand this, since he knows that it’s the Jesuits who created futurism?

How is it that Hugo Talks doesn’t teach that the saints have historically witnessed against the antichrist beast popes of Rome?

Hugo Talks teaches about a future man of sin being revealed.

The son of perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2 is the popes of Rome, the restrainer was the Roman Emperors.

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” Verse 4

The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to was the Roman Emperors, who held back the Popes from taking power.  Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 A.D., the Popes rose to power, and were given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state.

They sit among the followers of Messiah, which is the temple of God, and they have already proclaimed to be God.

Hugo Talks teaches about future time of great tribulation.

The times of great tribulation that are referred to in Daniel 12, Matthew 24 and Revelation, have already been historically fulfilled.

That doesn’t mean that there’s no tribulation in the end times, but the references that Hugo Talks is pointing to have already played out, so his explanation is misleading people.

Hugo Talks teaches about a futuristic mark of the beast.

Revelation mentions the mark of the beast several times, but only once is it connected with being able to buy and sell.

Some of the references to the mark of the beast have already been fulfilled historically when Catholics revered (mark on forehead) and obeyed (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist beast Pope when he commanded them to kill the saints in countries like France.

Today, 1.3 billion Catholics have the mark of the beast as they revere and obey the Pope as their leader. The antichrist beast Pope proclaims to lead Messiah’s church, but he deceives people with a false gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father.

And after a worldwide economic collapse, and nobody can buy and sell, the antichrist beast Pope may offer a One World financial system. If you revere him and obey him to join, you have the mark of the beast. If you don’t then you will be cut off from the financial system.

Hugo Talks says that if a pretribulation rapture happens seven years before the end, then great.

He starts the video by proclaiming that there’s no justification for a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, but then walks it back by giving the possibility of a pretribulation rapture seven years before the rest of prophecy is fulfilled.

That’s double-minded. The 70th week of Daniel 9 points to Messiah’s ministry, His death for our sins, and the Gospel being proclaimed to the Jews first. It’s not about the end times or a pretrib rapture.

Hugo Talks points to gatekeepers to controlling the prophecy fulfillment narrative.

But then Hugo Talks plays that role, as what he teaches aligns with what the teachers of the false, futuristic narrative of prophecy fulfillment proclaim.

Hugo Talks asks, is it possible that this rapture concept is designed to confuse people about the end times, so that they’re confused about the timeline?

The same question applies to what Hugo Talks is teaching, as it’s misleading people into continuing their belief in an end-times one-man antichrist and son of perdition, a future time of great tribulation when the prophecies in Revelation are fulfilled.

But that is all a deception from the Jesuits, who use controlled opposition to promote their false teachings.

Is Hugo Talks just deceived? Or is he deceiving you?

I pray that this posts helps wake you up, so that you can see how the enemy has deceived the end-times saints, for Messiah’s return draw nigh and you don’t want to be caught off-guard like the foolish virgins who don’t have the oil of Scriptural truth to light their way.

  1. Hi David
I have just watched the Hugo talks YouTube about the rapture. As far as I know he is a fairly young believer and just trying to get to grips with this. I left a comment for him to check out your YouTube and website to understand the Historicist understanding.
