Revelation 19 – Messiah Comes On A White Horse For War

This Revelation Timeline Decoded Bible study is about the vision of Messiah coming to exact vengeance against His enemies in Revelation 19.

Reading Revelation 19, the literal understanding is that Messiah’s wife has made herself ready, Messiah returns for her, and then they come on white horses. Given that most of Revelation uses symbolic language to point to a literal fulfillment, it may be pointing to Messiah’s bride coming out of the influence of Babylon/Roman teachings and returning to the ancient path of Scriptural truth so that she is pure. I’ve seen that taking place during the last few years, as people have come out of false teachings.

The antichrist beast Pope and the kings of the earth are ready to make war against them, the false prophet Jesuit Superior General and antichrist beast Pope are captured, and those with them are killed.

Revelation 19:1  And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Hallelujah; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God.

Hallelujah means ‘Praise Yah’, the Father.

Revelation 19:2  For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

It’s referring to the great whore of Revelation 17, the tares church of the enemy, the Roman Catholic Church; which pretends to be a part of the true assembly, but is an apostate church of Satan, designed to deceive people.

Her judgments are carried out in the vial judgments of Revelation, as she had caused tens of millions of saints to be killed.

Revelation 19:3  And again they said, Halleluyah. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Praise Yah indeed, for His righteous judgments against the enemy of Messiah and His saints!

Revelation 19:4  And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Halleluyah!”

The 24 elders may be 12 elders from the Old Testament and the 12 apostles, combining the whole of the Word of Elohim; who have been used to call out His set-apart ones.

Revelation 19:5  And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

The ‘hallel’ in Psalms means to ‘praise El’, to praise Elohim.

Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Halleluyah: for the Lord God (Yahuah Ěl Shaddai) omnipotent reigneth.

Ěl Shaddai means ‘Elohim Almighty’.

Revelation 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Messiah is fulfilling His Father’s seven Holy Feast Days, which are divine appointments, as part of the redemption of His set-apart people.

The Feast of Tabernacles represents Messiah’s marriage to His bride. Read The Holy Feast Days Were Hidden

Revelation 19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Recall that Revelation is about two women, the harlot church of the antichrist beast popes, called ‘Babylon the Great,’ and Messiah’s Ekklesia, which is called ‘heavenly Jerusalem.’ When the harlot is judged, the bride will appear radiant; she will shine before the world as a beautiful bride.

The whore of Satan is filthy in her abominations, but the bride of Messiah is pure and holy.

Revelation 19:9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of Elohim”

This recalls the parable of the wise virgins. Those who are pure and holy will enter into the marriage supper.

And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ “But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, indeed, there would not be enough for us and you. Instead, go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut” Matthew 25:8 -10

Those who follow teachings that originated from the harlot of Rome are unprepared, like the foolish virgins; for they don’t know that Messiah will return on the fall Feast of Trumpets, and they don’t know prophecy fulfillment; so they will be caught off-guard by Messiah’s return. Revelation 19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

This is a clear declaration to revere no man, including the pope of Rome.

Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

A white horse appeared in the first seal of Revelation. The symbols point primarily to the conquering Roman Empire.

Bible scholar and historian Henry Grattan Guinness says that the early church interpreted the first vision, that of the crowned rider seated upon the white horse, armed with a bow, going forth “conquering and the conquer,” as a representation of Messiah going forth on His victorious mission. Read Messiah Setup His Kingdom

Now Messiah is on a white horse, during this victorious time for judgment of those who oppose Him and His saints.

Revelation 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

The symbols of the first seal including a crown, which pointed to the laurels that the Emperors wore during celebrations of their armies victories.

Here Messiah has many crowns, as He victoriously overcomes Satan and his Roman beast, to usher in His kingdom after all things are put under His feet.

This is a reference to what the rabbis call the tetragrammaton, יהוה. The Jews refused to write it or say it.  It’s YHUH, written as YaHUaH, sounded out as Yah-Hoo-Ah. The Aramaic representation is YHWH, written as YaHWeH.

Revelation 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

It is declaring that Messiah is the Word of Elohim.

Revelation 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Revelation 19:8 describes Messiah’s bride as dressed this way, so it symbolically seems to point to the saints conquering the enemy and winning the spiritual battle by the power of Messiah.

Revelation 19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

The sword is the Word of His command to His followers, to smite the enemies.

In Revelation 2:26-27, Messiah told the church age of Thyatira that they would be given the Scriptures again after the antichrist beast popes banned and burned them, and that they would take control of the nations by the power of the Word.

This took place during the Protestant Reformation, when the Scriptural Gospel was proclaimed and many were redeemed for the kingdom. This reduced the power of the antichrist beast popes.

In Revelation 19, I pray that the influence of Messiah’s saints proclaiming Scriptural truth to expose the popes deceptions, will effectively cast the antichrist beast pope and false prophet Jesuit Superior General down from power, and that there will be a great harvest of souls.

Revelation 19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Most likely the word ‘thigh‘ should have been translated as ‘banner‘, such as an army would carry with them, to proclaim who they are.

Tattoos are forbidden in the Torah, so we can’t imagine that Messiah’s leg is tattooed.  And having an exposed thigh seems contrary to His character.

Revelation 19:17  And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

Many will be symbolically slain, as their deceptions are exposed to the world so that the world comes against the antichrist beast pope and false prophet Jesuit Superior General to render them powerless.

Revelation 19:18  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

The kings of the earth, the leaders, will fall by the sword, meaning that they will be overthrown and cast down.

Revelation 19:19  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

The sixth bowl describes three wicked ideologies of Communism, Nazism and Political Zionism, and world wars which push the world into the One World Government.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Revelation 16:14

The Jesuits may use Jerusalem as the capital for their One World Government; and I believe that the battle of the great day of Elohim Almighty is describing this time when the beast and false prophet will gather the armies of the world, to fight against Messiah and His saints.

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Revelation 16:16

The false prophet Jesuit Superior General and antichrist beast Pope will make one last attempt to wipe out Messiah’s Ekklesia, which is called Holy Jerusalem.

Saints may be killed when they won’t deny their faith, which will be an amazing witness before the world. And history shows that Messiah’s Ekklesia grows during persecution. Messiah gains the victory over the enemy through His saints as they cast down the power of the antichrist beast pope and false prophet Jesuit Superior General by exposing their deceptions.

Revelation 19:20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

I love how matter-of-fact the text is.  In the previous verse, the enemy of Messiah has gathered the kings of the Earth and their armies against Messiah and His saints; and the next verse proclaims that the leaders are captured. It eludes to how powerful Messiah is, as these armies are no match for Him.

The beast is the pope of Rome and the false prophet is the Jesuit Superior General; who will have taken control of the world in their One World Government.

Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Though the enemy will kill saints during their short reign in their One World Government, vengeance is coming against them.

  1. Hi David,

How do you see Thessalonians 4:16-18, specifically the dead in Christ rising first and the rest being caught up playing into this? Is it symbolic of a great harvest?

And the millennium, how do you see that playing out from this point? Is it filled with all the previously deceased saints, or is that something that may happen at the very end during the great judgement after the millennium? where all saints escape the second death to reside in the heavenly Jerusalem?

    Thank you, God Bless!
    Tom

    • Hi Tom, I think that 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 point to Messiah’s return at the end of the millennium. As for the millennium, I don’t think that it’s pointing 1000 literal years, as none of the times in Revelation have been literal. It may point to a much shorter timeframe during which the saints win the spiritual battle after exposing the deceptions of the antichrist beast pope and false prophet Jesuit Superior General.

However Revelation 19-20 play out, our role is the same, to proclaim the Gospel, and proclaim the truth of prophecy fulfillment.

Keep pressing on for the glory of our King!
      David
