Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries points to a future great tribulation of 3 1/2 years, with 1/2 of the world’s population, three billion people, dying.
Revelation is primarily focused on the Roman Empire, not the whole world. Proclaiming that three billion people are going to die is off-target.
The 1290 and 1335 days of Daniel 12 point to the judgment of the Jewish nation during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD.
The 1260 days, 42 months and ‘times, time and half a time’ references in Daniel 7 and Revelation point to the 1260-year reign of power of the antichrist beast popes from 538-1798 AD.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries points to Daniel 12 being fulfilled in the end times.
Daniel 12 is not about the end times, but about the judgment of the Jewish nation who continued in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and delivered their promised Messiah up to be killed.
The prophecies in Daniel 12 were hidden from the unbelieving Jews’ eyes, so that they didn’t understand about the coming judgment and escape Jerusalem.
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
This is not talking about the end of time, but the time of the end of the latter days of Israel.
These words bring the prophecy to an end; and it is not difficult to see the resemblance they bear to the final words of Matthew 28:19-20.
“Go therefore (run to and fro) and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching (increase knowledge) them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
The day spring of true knowledge from on high waited upon the footsteps of the apostles of Messiah, as they traversed the Gentile world, dispelling darkness, and doubt and fear, and diffusing light, and confidence and joy over every condition of human life.
Colossians 1:26-27 verifies the unveiling of knowledge, “the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries says that God proves that He’s real in prophecy.
Indeed He does, but the explanations of Dr. John Barnett serve to hide the evidence!

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries teaches a false, futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.

It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.
