Session 14: The Conquering Rider on the White Horse – Joel Richardson
Dalton Thomas and Joel Richardson are producing The Book Of Revelation video series, and it grieves my heart that they are misleading so many people with their futuristic explanations.
It’s not my mission in life to expose people, but I have a calling to proclaim the truth about prophecy fulfillment and to expose the deceptions.
Joel Richardson says that early church writers said that the first seal is about Messiah conquering with the Gospel.
He ignores that Messiah proclaims in the first verse of Revelation that these things would take place shortly, and in Revelation 1:3 that the time is at hand. Messiah wasn’t saying that 1,900 years would pass before the prophecies start to be fulfilled.
Joel says that the rider on the white horse in the first seal of Revelation is the antichrist.
That is a false narrative which serves to deflect blame away from the Popes of Rome, as the office of the papacy fulfills Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn‘ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition‘ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘antichrist beast‘ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot‘ church of Rome.

Joel Richardson says that the first seal of Revelation happens during the first 3 1/2 years of the 70th week of Daniel 9.
Joel’s whole explanation is based on the false foundation of Revelation being fulfilled during a futuristic 70th week of Daniel 9.
That is a false premise because the 70th week of Daniel 9 prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, after the 69 weeks, meaning in the 70th week. It foretold that Messiah would die in the middle of the seven years of the 70th week, and that He would confirm the (everlasting) covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about a 7-year tribulation period in the end times or the antichrist.
Joel says that the ‘abomination of desolation‘ will take place in the middle of the future 70th week of Daniel, but the ‘abomination of desolation‘ is not about the end times either. It was the major sign that the temple that Messiah had just come out of would be desolated in that generation of Jewish leaders. It was their punishment for continuing in their rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for rejecting His Son and delivering Him up to be killed.
All of the things that Messiah described from Matthew 23:36 to Matthew 24:33 were fulfilled by 70 AD when the Romans desolated Jerusalem, the temple, and the Jewish nation. The enemy has deceived people about the symbolism of the sun, moon, and stars being darkened; Messiah coming in power and glory; and the elect being gathered. But the Bible gives the proper definitions for the symbols.

Joel Richardson says that the Roman Emperors rode a white horse after they conquered, but somehow he doesn’t make the connection.
Joel rightly says that it’s not a real crown, but a laurel wreath, but he doesn’t make the connection to the Emperors of Rome.
The first seal is pointing to the Cretan Roman Emperors, primarily Trajan, who reigned shortly after Revelation was written, from 98-117 AD. Nerva was the first Emperor who was not a Roman, but descended from the Isle of Crete, who were famous bowmen, so we see the reference to the ‘bow‘ in the rider’s hand.
Next came Trajan who was the second most victorious Emperor, who rode on white horses and wore a laurel wreath crown during their victory parades after they conquered nations. So we see the exacting fulfillment of the first seal of Revelation, which started to take place shortly after Revelation was written, just like Messiah proclaimed in Revelation 1:1.
But there’s another narrative to the story, as Messiah’s Ekklesia of saints was proclaiming the Gospel throughout the Roman Empire and they were conquering the enemy. The first seal sets up the whole story of the book of Revelation, in that it’s the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom fighting against Messiah and His saints.
Joel is way off-target by assigning the first seal to a supposed one-man antichrist who appears in a futuristic 70th week of Daniel 9 in the end times.

Joel Richardson says that the antichrist will have tremendous political capital.
Wow, how does he miss this? History proves that the antichrist beast Popes of Rome have had great political capital since the sixth century. Look at Pope Francis today, who meets with world leaders and gives his advise.

The reason that I wrote The 70th Week Of Daniel 9 Decoded book before the Revelation book is so that people can see that the enemy has created a false explanation of the fulfillment of Revelation that’s based on the false premise of a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel.
Sadly, Dalton Thomas and Joel Richardson have been misled with the enemy’s false explanations. They are misleading people about the 70th week of Daniel 9, Messiah’s Olivet Discourse and the book of Revelation.
All three of these prophecies are extremely important, as they validate the authority of Scripture and the deity of Messiah. This is why the enemy has worked so hard to hide the truth.
There are two key reasons to read The 70th Week Of Daniel 9 Decoded book. First, the 70th week of Daniel is the only prophecy in the Bible that foretold exactly when Messiah would start His ministry and when He would die for our sins.
When you understand the fulfillment, you have tangible proof to give to the world, that the Bible is true and that Messiah is deity.
The second reason is that the popular explanations for the fulfillment of Revelation are based on the concept of a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, an end-times seven-year tribulation period.
When you understand that the 70th week of Daniel 9 foretold the exact time that Messiah would carry out His ministry and die for our sins; then you know that it’s not about the antichrist.
Regarding the ‘covenant’ of Daniel 9:27, it’s the same covenant that Daniel just mentioned in Daniel 9:4, which already existed. It is the everlasting covenant that was made to Abraham, which Messiah came to ‘confirm’ with His blood as the Passover Lamb, which paid the price for our sins and ended the need for temple animal sacrifices.
We’ll all stand before our Righteous Judge to account for what we believe and teach about the most important prophecy in the Bible. I pray that you will read the explanations in this book about the 70th week of Daniel, compare it to Scripture, and discern it for yourself.
