Steve Wohlberg 7 Wrong Facts about the Mark of the Beast

This Revelation Timeline Decoded post features a review of a video from Seventh Day Adventist pastor Steve Wohlberg, called 7 Facts about the Mark of the Beast.

Video description: “The mark of the beast” (Revelation 19:20) is NOT what most people think. “7 Facts about the Mark of the Beast” explains what the Bible REALLY SAYS and exposes global myths. Don’t be deceived. Discover the truth.

If you’re a Seventh-Day Adventist, let me preface this post with understanding.

When you’re in the only church denomination that teaches the historicist prophecy fulfillment explanations, which believes that it’s the remnant church of Messiah who has a special gift of prophecy, who is called to proclaim the three-angels message to the world; it’s easy to feel set-apart and it’s a challenge to see a different perspective.

But let me remind you that we will stand before our Righteous Judge to give an account of what we believe and what we teach. I pray that you’re the kind of person who wants truth, even if you have to find out that you’ve been misled.

Seventh Day Adventist pastor Steve Wohlberg seems like a genuine nice man. I learned a lot from his End Times Delusions study series when I began studying Bible prophecy.

That said, the SDA Church is teaching prophecy fulfillment concepts which are off-target, and serve to mislead historicists and deflect blame away from the false prophet Jesuit Superior General.

SDA Church Fact #1: Steve Wolhberg points to Revelation 14:9-10 which is about worshiping the beast and applies it to the end times.

But Revelation 14 is not about the end times. The context is that the hand-written Scriptures had been banned and burned, and Messiah’s Ekklesia of saints had been persecuted harshly by the antichrist beast Popes during the Dark Ages.

One of the harvests of Revelation 14 points to the Protestant Reformation, when the Scriptures were given back to the saints and translated into English, German, etc., and with the timely advent of the printing press, the little book of Revelation 10 was created and spread around the world.

The Protestant Reformers proclaimed the Gospel and millions of Catholics were redeemed for the kingdom. It was a great victory for Messiah, after His Ekklesia was almost wiped out by the enemy.

The other harvest points to the judgment of people in France, Spain and other countries during the vial judgments; as they revered (mark on forehead, thoughts) and obeyed (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist beast popes orders to kill the saints.

By that, we see what is the mark of the beast.

SDA Church Fact #2: Steve Wohlberg points to Revelation 14:12 which is about those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

One of the harvests is pointing to the many people who were saved during the Protestant Reformation, who keep the commandments of the Heavenly Father and have faith in Messiah’s atoning work for their sins.

Contrarily, Catholics who do not keep the commandments of God, rather they follow the man-made traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.

The popes are the son of sin, the son of perdition, who have caused Catholics to break the ten commandments. READ The Son Of Perdition Of 2 Thessalonians 2

The focus of Revelation 14 is about Catholics who revered (mark on forehead, thoughts) and obeyed (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist beast popes’ command to kill the saints during the Dark Ages.

The other harvest in Revelation 14 is against those Catholics, which was fulfilled during the first four vial judgments.

SDA Church Fact #3: Steve Wohlberg says there’s only one of the ten commandments that talks about the creator, the fourth one about honoring the Sabbath, which falls on Saturday.

Seventh-Day Adventists focus on this one commandment to promote their false teaching that going to church on Sunday Lord’s Day is the mark of the beast.

First of all, it’s absurd to think that the Heavenly Father is going to harshly condemn people for going to church to praise Him, pray to Him and learn about Him; because they did it on the wrong day.

Secondly, people don’t go to church on Sunday because the pope told them to, so there’s no direct relationship to revering the antichrist beast pope.

Lastly, and most importantly, Saturday is not the Scriptural Sabbath, so the enemy is Rome has created a false dichotomy between Saturday and Sunday.

At the bottom of this post is a link to a page which shows why Saturday cannot be the Scriptural Sabbath.

SDA Church Fact #4: Steve Wohlberg says that the beast is a symbol for the RCC system.

The beast of Revelation 13 is not pointing to the RCC system. Revelation 17 is about the harlot Roman Catholic Church, which is led by the antichrist beast popes.

In Titus 1:7-16, we see Paul contrasting blameless bishops with unruly vain-talking, deceiving, evil beasts. In 2 Peter 2, we see Peter talking about false prophets, saying that they are evil speaking brute beasts. And Jude 1 also points to ungodly men, brute beasts, creeping into the church.

The sea beast of Revelation 13 points to the popes of Rome; who certainly have been an unruly, vain-talking, deceiver who speaks evil.

So when we come to the narrative of the earth beast in Revelation 13:11-18 we’re not looking for another kingdom, but for another false priest, another unruly, vain-talking, deceiver who speaks evil, another pope.

John is pointing to the black pope, who took control of the Vatican in 1798 AD, when he had Napoleon’s army remove the white pope from power.

John calls the white pope, the beast; and he calls the black pope, the false prophet. The false prophet Jesuit Superior General rose to power out of the land (earthge in the Greek) of the beast, the Vatican.

The earth beast has two horns, which symbolizes two leaders, the false prophet Jesuit Superior General who controls the Vatican and exercises his power in front of the antichrist beast Pope. They both pretend to be Messiah’s priests, thus they are like a lamb; but they really serve Satan, the dragon. to make war with Messiah and His saints.

This is validated in the sixth bowl, when we see that Satan is using the antichrist beast white pope and the false prophet black pope to push countries towards their desired one-world government.

This is validated in Revelation 19 when we see these same two leaders, the antichrist beast white pope and false prophet black pope, seeking to attack Messiah and His saints.

This explanation is congruent with the prophecies in Daniel 2 and 7, which point to the Roman beast kingdom being in power until Messiah returns.

Note: Seventh Day Adventists wrongly teach that the USA is the earth beast of Revelation 13, which serves to deflect blame away from the false prophet Jesuit Superior General.

SDA Church Fact #5: Steve Wohlberg says the the Roman Catholic Church claims that it changed the original Seventh-day Sabbath into Sunday.

SDA Church Fact #5: Steve Wolhberg says the the Roman Catholic Church claims that it changed the original Seventh-day Sabbath into Sunday.

How is it that Steve and Seventh Day Adventists are trusting a statement from the antichrist beast popes, who are deceivers?

From the 1st century until the 4th century, Saturday was the first day of the Roman 7-day week. But Constantine changed it to make Sunday the first day. By that we can see that Saturday has not always been the seventh day of the Roman week, so it doesn’t make sense to proclaim that Saturday has always been the seventh day of the week.

With Constantine’s declarations that people, including Jewish leaders, must follow the 7-day week with Saturday as the 7th day; He was pushing people away from the Scriptural calendar and Sabbath.

The Scriptural calendar is not compatible with the pagan Roman calendar as Scripture declares that there are ‘new moon days’ on the calendar which are not accounted for in the continuously-repeating ‘six work day / one Sabbath day’ cycle.

SDA Church Fact #6: Steve Wohlberg says that the Roman Catholic Church claims that Sunday is a mark of their authority.

This is slight of hand. It’s a trick. By saying that Sunday is their mark of authority, it seems to validate that Saturday is the mark of the Heavenly Father as the Scriptural Sabbath.

But Saturday is not the Scriptural Sabbath, and the enemy is Rome is pushing a false dichotomy between Saturday and Sunday, to hide the Scriptural calendar.

SDA Church Fact #7: Steve Wohlberg says that the pope is now pushing for a Sunday law.

In the Seventh Day Adventist False Prophecy Fulfillment Teachings article, I contend that the SDA Church was either founded to hijack historicism or that it’s been infiltrated by the Jesuits, to teach false concepts and mislead historicists.

The General in Rome is using the SDA Church to teach that Sunday rest is the mark of the beast. At the same time, the General is using his assets to promote the faux cl!mate change agenda.

They may cause the antichrist beast pope to help pass laws that demand that people rest on Sunday, to supposedly help save the planet. This would make it seem like Sunday is the mark of the beast.

But it’s all a false narrative to hide that the true mark of the beast is revering (mark on forehead, thoughts) and obeying (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist beast pope.

Proclaiming that Sunday is the mark of the beast removes the focus on 1.3 billion Catholics who revere (mark on forehead) and obey (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist beast pope.

The black pope will cause a worldwide economic collapse when nobody will be able to buy and sell. Then the white pope may offer a One World Government solution, which will allow people who join with him to be able to buy and sell again in their financial system.

Many Christians may deem the pope as a savior of sorts, as he’s supposedly Christian and he’s helping them get food for their family. And that has huge implications!

Stop being misled by the false prophecy fulfillment explanations of the Seventh Day Adventist Church!

    • Thank you for your comment Josphine. Yeah, the CV VX agenda and the cl!imate change agenda are the two narratives that the enemy is Rome is using to control the world and push it towards their 0ne W0rld G0vernment. We should resist their agenda as much as possible, and never revere or obey the antichrist beast pope. Keep pressing on for the glory of our King!

  3. David, I’m confused about the 7 day week. Genesis depicts 7 days, so is it not right that it is the correct way to follow a 7 day cycle?
Also, though the Roman’s had their 8 day week, does that mean the Jews, Jesus, prophets and all of Israel were separate and followed the 7 day week?

    • Lyubomyr, it’s a confusing topic. The Genesis week of creation gave a pattern for a week, but it was not proclaiming that the ‘six work day / one sabbath day’ cycle continuously repeats over and over. That’s a construct of pagan calendars which are only based on the sun, but per Genesis 1:14, the Scriptural calendar is based on the sun and the moon.

Scripture declares that the calendar includes New Moon Days, which are different than work day and Sabbath days.

Messiah and the Jews followed the Scriptural calendar, with the year starting in Spring, with each month starting with the new moon day. And then there are four weekly cycles in the month.

    • Hi Rick, the Jews and disciples followed the instructions in Scripture, to base the years, months and Sabbaths on the cycles of the sun and moon.

Acts declares that they met during three Sabbaths, but it doesn’t declare which Sabbaths (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th) of the monthly Sabbaths that met. They could have been Sabbaths during two different months, so I can’t say for sure how far apart was the first Sabbath to the second Sabbath to the third.

This website explains the Scriptural calendar that the Jews followed in the first century and it shows that the concept of a continuously-repeating ‘six work day / one Sabbath day’ cycle is not Scriptural.
