Stephen Pidgeon Deadly Head Wound In Revelation 13

This Revelation Timeline Decoded post is about a Facebook explanation from Dr. Stephen Pidgeon about the deadly head wound in Revelation 13.

Stephen Pidgeon proclaimed this on a Facebook post: I have discovered something in the Book of Revelation that is going to blow your mind.

Stephen Pidgeon Deadly Head Wound In Revelation 13

Here is his explanation:

You know the passage about the beast whose “deadly wound was healed“?

The Greek there is “thanatos plege therapeuo” – any words looks familiar?

The phrase is not “whose deadly wound was healed” but rather “whose DEADLY PLAGUE WAS WORSHIPPED.”

θεραπεύω therapeúō, ther-ap-yoo’-o from the same as G2324; to wait upon menially, i.e. (figuratively) to adore (God), or (specially) to relieve (of disease):—cure, heal, worship.

He says that Revelation 13:3 should read, And I saw one of his heads as it were plagued to death; and his deadly plague was worshipped: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Dr. Stephen Pidgeon’s explanation is out of context and off-target.

His explanation reminds me of the warning in Revelation 22:18, For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.

Here’s how the KJV reads: And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The context of the deadly head wound is when the antichrist beast Popes ruled for 1,260 from 538-1798 AD, during the sea beast phase of the Roman beast kingdom.

The deadly head wound took place when the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, and the office was ended, as part of the fourth trumpet judgment. The Western Roman Emperors had restrained the son of perdition Popes from taking power.

It was healed when the Popes took civil and ecclesiastic authority over the Roman beast kingdom in 538 AD, and they took the title of the Emperors of Pontifex Maximus.

The little horn of Daniel 7 points to the Pope of Rome, rising to power over the ten kingdoms of the fallen Roman Empire.

Revelation 17 describes the eighth king, the Popes of Rome, rising to power out after seven forms of government of the Roman Empire; and leading the harlot church of Rome.

The deadly head wound is not about the end times or the things that Dr. Stephen Pidgeon is proclaiming!

By all appearances, Dr. Stephen Pidgeon is a very smart man. But he doesn’t point to the Popes as the little horn of Daniel 7, the son of perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2 or the antichrist beast of Revelation who leads the harlot church of Rome.

He doesn’t point to the historical fulfillment of most of Revelation during the last 1,900 years, despite Messiah using symbols which are defined in the Old Testament, despite the historical record of how the Romans have waged war against Messiah’s saints, and despite the witness and explanations of the saints who have gone before us.

And he’s applying a verse about the antichrist beast Pope to the CV agenda, which serves to deflect blame away from Rome.

So the question is, is he too smart for his own good, which causes him not to see the fulfillment of Revelation? Or is a wolf?

I posted a comment on his Facebook post, we’ll see if he replies.

  1. So many ‘Christian’ writers are trying to make things fit so as to instil unnecessary fear and to start a sensation. The truth is, America’s days are counted and the count is abound to end.
