In this video, Dr. John Barnett gives a summary of the book of Revelation, which is woefully misguided.
Dr. John Barnett of DTBM says that the summary of Revelation 2-3 is that Jesus walks among us in His Church.
This is an ironic explanation, because he teaches that John is writing to the seven churches which existed in the first century.
But the truth is that Messiah is writing to His Ekklesia of saints who have existed during the last 1900 years, as Revelation 2-3 is pointing to seven church eras. So indeed, Messiah does walk among His church.

Dr. John Barnett of DTBM says that the summary of Revelation 9 is that most of humanity is fascinated with demons, so God opens the pit and lets humanity taste the searing torments of Satan’s demons.
Messiah’s message in Revelation is not about what the world is doing, it’s about the battle between the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The pagan Roman Emperors made war with the saints during ten persecution periods. The seals caused the decline of the Western Roman Empire from bloody civil wars (red horse), economic strife (black horse), famine, pestilence and death (pale horse).
The trumpet judgments cause barbarian armies to attack the Roman Empire. The first four trumpets led to the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD.

The Fifth Trumpet represents Elohim using the Arabian (Mohammedan) army against the Roman Empire from 612-762 AD, which is 150 years (5 months x 30 days = 150 days). They wore turbans (crowns of gold); they had beards (faces of men, as the Roman shaved); they had long hair like women; they wore chain-mail (breast-plates of iron); and they were fierce (teeth of lions). The ‘falling star’ was Mohammed, the ‘smoke’ out of Satan’s bottomless pit is the false religion of Islam, which hides the Gospel from Arabs eyes.
Dr. John Barnett of DTBM says that the summary of Revelation 10-13 is that lost humanity seeks to rule themselves and reject God’s Messiah, so God sends the Fake Jesus, the Beast, as the worst human who ever lives to lead humanity to destruction by becoming their god.
Revelation 10-13 is about the antichrist beast Popes, who proclaim to lead Messiah’s church, but teach a false Gospel which has misled billions of Catholics, and has caused Catholics to torture and kill millions of saints.
The Popes proclaim to be the representative of Jesus, but they’re the man of sin, the son of perdition, who cause Catholics to break commandments and stay lost in their sins via a false gospel.

Dr. John Barnett of DTBM says that the summary of Revelation 14-16 is that lost humanity believes in evolution and denies Biblical creationism, so God send final divine environmental destruction’s.
Once again his explanation is off-target.
Revelation 14-16 is about the judgment of Catholics in France and other countries, because they revered and obeyed the antichrist beast Pope’s command to kill the saints.

Dr. John Barnett of DTBM says that the summary of Revelation 17 is that lost humanity wants a false religion of human achievement, so God destroys religion.
Amazingly, he points to an organized apostate church; but somehow doesn’t understand that Revelation 17 is describing the Roman Catholic Church of the antichrist beast Popes!
The Pope proclaims to lead Messiah’s one-true church, but they teach a false gospel of works through the sacraments, and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father.
Their priests are dressed in purple and scarlet, and they use the golden cup during their blasphemous Eucharist ceremony which denies Messiah’s one-time sacrifice for sin. Catholic priests have been used to torture and kill millions of saints during the Dark Ages and Inquisition.

Dr. John Barnett of DTBM says that the summary of Revelation 18 is lost humanity wants comforts, entertainment and possessions more than God, this is the idolatry of covetousness, so God destroys all their possessions and pleasures in one moment.
Revelation is about the historical battle between the Satan-empowered antichrist beast Popes of the great city, and their harlot church; fighting against Messiah and His saints, who are called Holy Jerusalem.
Revelation 18 describes the materials that have been used to built the ornate basilicas of the antichrist beast Popes. And it describes the goods that are used during their ceremonies, such as fine flour for the Eucharist wafers, oil for anointing, and incense.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries teaches a false, futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years. It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.
