MARANATHA Global Bible Study // The Book Of Revelation
Dalton Thomas says that we need to focus on obedience, not who is the antichist.
This statement is so far off the mark!!! There’s no excuse for not knowing who is the antichrist, and for neglecting our role in witnessing against the antichrist!
The office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘antichrist beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome.
It is our duty as followers of Messiah to identify the antichrist to the world, to expose his many deceptions, to cast him down from power, to set the captives free for a glorious harvest in the end times.
By not pointing to the antichrist beast Popes, Dalton Thomas and Joel Richardson cause people to not understand that the Roman Catholic Church is the harlot church of Revelation 17. The antichrist beast Popes teach a false Gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father. Followers of Messiah should be proclaiming these truths to Catholics!
Dalton Thomas points to Luther and the Reformation, but ignores Luther’s role and words.
Martin Luther declared “We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist.”
Martin Luther, father of the Lutheran Church, declared “We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist.” (Source: The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, by LeRoy Froom. Vol. 2., pg. 121.)
“Oh Christ, my Lord, Look down upon us and bring upon us thy day of judgment and destroy the brood of Satan in Rome. There sits the man of whom the Apostle Paul wrote (2 Thess 2) That he will oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God, that man of sin, son of perdition. What else is papal power but sin and corruption? It leads souls to destruction under thine own name O Lord! I hope that day of judgement is soon to dawn. Things can and will not get worse than they are at this time. The Papal See is practicing iniquity to its heights. He suppresses the Law of God and exalts his commandments above the commandments of god.”
“Is not this to sit in the temple of God, to profess himself to be ruler in the whole Church? What is the temple of God? Is it stones and wood? Did not Paul say, The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are? To sit – what is it but to reign, to teach, and to judge? Who from the beginning of the Church has dared to call himself master of the whole Church by the pope alone?“ (Source: “Works” vol. ii., p. 385)
“Likewise in 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul clearly says that the man of sin shall rule in the Church, exalting himself against the worship of God, etc. But it is manifest that the popes do rule in the Church, and under title of the Church in defending idols. Wherefore I affirm that no heresy hath arisen, not indeed shall be, with which these descriptions of Paul can more truly and certainly accord and agree than to this Papal kingdom.”
‘The vicar is in the place of an absent chief,—what is such a vicar but Antichrist.’ ‘ I know and am certain that the papacy is the kingdom of Babylon.’ (Ibid, p. 47)
“Nothing else than the kingdom of Babylon and of very Antichrist….For who is the man of sin and the son of perdition, but he who by his teaching and his ordinances increases the sin and perdition of souls in the church; while he yet sits in the church as if he were God? All these conditions have now for many ages been fulfilled by the papal tyranny.” Martin Luther, First Principles, pp. 196-197
“The papacy is none other than the kingdom of Babylon, and the violence of Nimrod the mighty hunter… The papacy is a general chase led by the Roman bishop to catch and destroy souls.” The Babylonian Captivity Of The Church
“I know that the pope is Antichrist, and that his throne is that of Satan himself.“ D’Aubigne, History Of The Reformation Of The Sixteenth Century, Vol II, Book VI, Chapter IX
Dalton Thomas says that the antichrist will eclipse the brutality of Hitler.
How do Dalton Thomas and Joel Richardson ignore that the antichrist beast Popes caused tens of millions of saints to be killed during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition? How do they ignore the wicked torture devices which were created by Catholic priests to torment people into submission?
Dalton Thomas points to 2 Thessalonians 2 and the falling away which must take place before the antichrist appears.
The ‘falling away’ that the Apostle Paul was pointing to, happened in the 4th century when Satan used Roman Emperor Constantine to create Roman Christianity, which is contrary to Scripture and is based on pagan-god worship. Many of the saints compromised their faith to join with Rome, after hundreds of years of harsh persecution.
The ‘restrainer’ that the Apostle Paul was pointing to was the Western Roman Emperor, who prevented the Pope’s from taking power. When the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 A.D., the Popes were given civil and ecclesiastic authority shortly afterwards in 538 A.D. The Popes have proclaimed to be God, to be Jesus Christ in the flesh, to forgive sins and to provide salvation; all of which is blasphemy.
Dalton Thomas mocks that the temple being referred to in Revelation is in our heart and says that it will be a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.
What he is ignoring is that the Apostle Paul declared that the temple of God is Messiah’s Ekklesia of saints, as Messiah is the cornerstone, the disciples are the foundation and the saints are the little stones that make up the walls.
The Popes of Rome proclaim to lead Messiah’s church, but they teach a false Gospel and a false Messiah, as they proclaim that Mary is the intercessor to the Father. The Popes have already proclaimed to be God, to forgive sins and to provide salvation, which is blasphemy.
The Popes fulfill prophecy as the man of sin as they cause Catholics to sin by calling him Holy Father, by making and bowing to idols of Mary, by killing saints during the Dark Ages and Inquisition, by making repetitious prayers using beads, by praying to Mary as the supposed intercessor to the Father, and by believing in salvation through their sacraments which leaves them lost in their sins.
Read Messiah’s Kingdom
Dalton Thomas points to end times abomination of desolation.
The context of the ‘abomination of desolation’ is Messiah declaring judgment on the Jewish leaders and the ‘desolation’ of the second temple; which took place in 70 A.D. This was foretold in Daniel 9:26.
It says when you see the abomination of desolation, then flee Judea, so it’s a sign that people in Judea saw.
Luke 21:20-21 tells us what it is, an army surrounding Holy Jerusalem, which Josephus documented as taking place in November of 66 AD, when Cestius and his army came to Jerusalem to end the Jewish rebellion. Messiah’s saints in Judea saw the sign, and knew that they needed to take the first opportunity to flee to the mountains for safety.
That opportunity came when Cestius and his army left Jerusalem for no explained reason. Messiah’s saints urgently left Jerusalem like Messiah told them to, but the unbelieving Jews stayed.
Then three strong divisions of the Roman army were sent to Judea, which led to 1.1 million Jews dying in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, crucifixion and by the Roman sword. Desolations were poured out on the unbelieving Jewish nation as they continued in their rebellion against the Heavenly Father and delivered Messiah up to be killed.
Daniel 11 gives us an example of the abomination of desolation when Antiochus Epiphanes and his army surrounded Jerusalem to take it captive.
Daniel 12 describes the 3 ½ years of the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD. From the time of the ‘abomination of desolation’ in 66 AD when Cestius and his army surrounded Jerusalem, until the Roman army flooded into Jerusalem and stopped temple sacrifices, was 1290 days.
Dalton Thomas is well-spoken and seems very smart and sincere. But his explanations reveal that he is misled. I pray that he comes to learn the glorious truth about the fulfillment of Revelation, for in it we see the glory of Messiah.
Messiah’s apocalyptic vision is a war manual, designed to hide the explanation from those who should not understand it. It uses symbolic words that are defined in the Old Testament to point to a literal fulfillment. If you read Revelation only from a literal perspective, the interpretation is hidden.
Understanding the vision is like taking a Biblical final exam. If you’ve read the whole Word, you will have seen the symbolism that Messiah uses and can apply it to the fulfillment.
If you read Revelation as one chronological narrative, the prophecies seem out of sequence. That’s because it has four chronological layers, each of which spans from when it was written until Messiah returns.
This book explains the prophecies of Revelation on a timeline to help you see how the four chronological layers interact with each other, so that you can comprehend the whole vision.
You will learn how to identify who fulfills the role of the son of perdition, the antichrist beast, the false prophet, and the harlot called ‘Mystery, Babylon the Great.’ You will understand the proper context of the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments; the little book of Revelation 10, and the two witnesses of Revelation 11.
Whether you’re a novice at Bible prophecy or someone who has studied it extensively, I provide an explanation that is easy to understand yet has the depth of verse by verse explanations to provide you the evidence you need to prove it out.
