It’s all of the futuristic deceptions of the enemy that make it hard to see the truth of the fulfillment.

The enemy has programmed believers to look to the future for the fulfillment, as most prophecy teachers say that all of the Revelation seals, trumpets and bowls take place in the end-times. This is called futurism.

Regarding the fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation, ask yourself, what makes more sense?

That most of the prophecies wouldn’t be fulfilled for 1,900+ years and are only about the events of the final 7 or 3 1/2 years? Or that they describe the events that the saints face from the 1st century until Messiah’s return?

Do you realize that Revelation starts with Messiah proclaiming, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass and for the time is at hand”? Messiah is declaring that the prophecies would start to be fulfilled shortly after the vision was given to John.

Did you know that the great theologians of the 16th-20th centuries taught that Revelation has been in the process of being fulfilled since the first century? People like Albert Barnes, Adam Clarke, Henry Grattan Guinness, John Gill, Joseph Benson and Matthew Poole, point  to the historical narrative of Revelation. This is called historicism.

Did you know that the Protestant Reformers proclaimed the historicist narrative of Revelation and that the office of the papacy, the Popes, fulfill prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘antichrist beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome?

If the futuristic view of prophecy is true, then that means that our Messiah had nothing to say to His saints about the following events which have occurred during the last 1,900 years:

Satan using the Roman Emperors to kill millions of saints during ten persecution periods. During the harshest period, Emperor Diocletian sought to wipe out Messiah’s early church during ten years of great persecution from 303-312 AD.

Constantine and the Roman bishops codifying Catholicism, blending pagan god worship and the true faith.

The rise of the popes of Rome to power in the sixth century, who banned and burned the Scriptures and tortured and killed tens of millions of saints during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition.

The Popes proclaiming to lead Messiah’s church, but teaching a false Gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father, which denies Christ.

The Popes taking the title of ‘holy father’ and declaring that they are God, that they can forgive sins, and that they can provide salvation, which is blasphemy.

The great harvest of the Protestant Reformation when the saints came back to life and proclaimed the Scriptural Gospel, which caused millions of Catholics to be saved.

The translation of the Scriptures into common languages after it had been hidden in Latin during the Dark Ages. And the advent of the printing press, which led to Bibles being spread around the world.

The futuristic view tells you that in Revelation, Messiah had nothing to say to His saints about those things. I will show you that our Messiah did in fact speak of all of those things in the book of Revelation, not by name of course, but the events and the people groups were all described in clear detail, and history proves the fulfillment.

Did you know that in the 16th century, the Jesuits were empowered by the Pope to counter the Reformation?

They created false, futuristic explanation of prophecy fulfillment which says that most of Revelation is fulfilled during the last seven years and points to a one-man antichrist to deflect blame away from the pope.

During the last century, the enemy has pushed aside the witness of the saints who have gone before us and promoted their false futuristic explanations, which now mislead most believers. They’re hiding that most of Revelation has been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years and that there’s not much left to occur before Messiah returns. I pray that you will seek truth, not defend a belief so that you’re prepared.

You can save and print a one-page PDF called What Makes More Sense? to review and share with others.

As you read the summaries and watch the videos, pray for discernment, because your programming, the things that you’ve been taught about the seals, the trumpets and the bowls, are going to interfere with your ability to understand what the Bible is really telling us.

I’m not asking you to be empty-minded, but you will need to be open-minded.
Seek to pursue truth, instead of defending what you’ve been led to believe.

The enemy has worked hard to deceive the end times Church, because the culmination of all that he has worked for to push the world into a New World Order, takes place in the last few years.

By causing you to look to a future fulfillment of prophecy, he has caused you to not understand who the enemy of Messiah and His Church really are.

Many Christians haven’t studied the scriptures to validate the meaning of prophecies,
so they have blindly trusted what Pastors have told them.

Friend, you’re going to stand before your Messiah some day and be accountable for knowing the true fulfillment.  Saying that your Pastors told you is not going to cut it.

The historic fulfillment of Messiah’s Revelation reveals the battle between Satan and his followers, warring against Messiah and His followers.

Right now, the enemy is prevailing, because most believers don’t even know who the real enemy is. And most believers think that they will be raptured before the supposed 7-year tribulation period, so most don’t care.

This explains why Messiah called our Laodicean Church era, lukewarm, wretched, miserable, blind, naked and poor. The enemy has infiltrated seminaries and caused them to teach a futuristic fulfillment of Revelation. This has blinded believers from seeing who Satan has empowered to war against them, so they are unable to fight back with the rod of iron, the Word of God.

Friend, are you ready to learn the truth?

Below is a path of learning, to help you see the big picture of prophecy fulfillment, and then the verse by verse explanations which prove it out.

Father, I pray that you wake the church up from her slumber, and that you anoint each visitor with eye salve to help them see the truth. I pray this for your honor and your glory. Amen!

These summary studies show you how Revelation points to Rome.

In Messiah’s apocalyptic vision, He describes the historical battle between the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom: pagan emperors > antichrist beast popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals, fighting against Messiah and His saints.

This video is about the events that the saints have faced during the last 1,900 years. The false, futuristic view of Revelation says that Messiah had nothing to say about these major events, and that the prophecies in Revelation are all fulfilled during the last few years.

This video is about Messiah foretelling major world events in His apocalyptic vision. He didn’t name them, but He used symbolic language to point to them taking place.

Revelation Timeline Decoded by David Nikao Wilcoxson - end times prophecy

Messiah’s apocalyptic vision is a war manual, designed to hide the explanation from those who should not understand it.

It uses symbolic words that are defined in the Old Testament to point to a literal fulfillment. If you read Revelation only from a literal perspective, the interpretation is hidden.

Understanding the vision is like taking a Biblical final exam. If you’ve read the whole Word, you will have seen the symbolism that Messiah uses and can apply it to the fulfillment.

If you read Revelation as one chronological narrative, the prophecies seem out of sequence. That’s because it has four chronological layers, each of which spans from when it was written until Messiah returns.

This book explains the prophecies of Revelation on a timeline to help you see how the four chronological layers interact with each other, so that you can comprehend the whole vision.

You will learn how to identify who fulfills the role of the son of perdition, the antichrist beast, the false prophet, and the harlot called ‘Mystery, Babylon the Great.’ You will understand the proper context of the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments; the little book of Revelation 10, and the two witnesses of Revelation 11.

Whether you’re a novice at Bible prophecy or someone who has studied it extensively, I provide an explanation that is easy to understand yet has the depth of verse by verse explanations to provide you the evidence you need to prove it out.

  1. David,
I’ve recently moved and have visited a local church. Interestingly, the Sunday school lesson is on Daniel. I have your books and your explanation of the 70 weeks is by far the most reasonable I’ve seen in all my studying. I’ve been rereading the book on the 70th Week and my question is based on the chart you show several times. I don’t see it in the text, but how did you arrive at the 457BC starting point of the decree to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem (or what source did you use and how did you validate)? As you certainly would know, there are many different dates set for this decree and then each date will render a different end point of the 490 years — or 483 years based on a premillennialist interpretation. This is a critical point as it lends credibility to the whole interpretation.

    Thanks!
    Mike

    • Michael, I cover the decrees in THE STARTING DECREE AND YEAR chapter. The proper command is not about rebuilding the temple, but about rebuilding the city, meaning the walls and the plaza.

In 536 BC, Cyrus issued a command to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.

In 520 BC, Darius I issued a decree to continue building the temple.

In 457 BC, Artaxerxes issued a decree to Ezra to rebuild the city. This is confirmed by the book of 1 Esdras, which is an extension of the book of Ezra.

It is also confirmed by the year of Jubilee cycle, which aligns with 457 BC, as it points to the Jews being set free.

I should have included that in 445 BC, Artaxerxes issued another decree to restart the rebuilding of Jerusalem, as it had been stopped. This is why Nehemiah was so sad. But that prophecy places the 70th week as starting in 39 AD, so it’s too late to be the correct command. Some people misrepresent the accounting of years, saying that it’s a 360-day year, not a 365-year day one, to shorten the timeframe and land at the right time. But that’s a false narrative, as a year is a year.

      I hope that helps,
      David

      • Thanks! I will study this. You are correct in that most other sources arrive at the either 445BC or a 444BC start date. You have pointed out a subtle distinction that I had missed. Using the 444BC date and Solar years and the 69 weeks one can arrive at 32-33AD and the approximate date of the crucifixion and say that Messiah was “cut off” at the end of the 69th week and continue the false claim that the 70th week is pushed out. So the dates are critical.

        • When you understand the 7-year Shemitah cycle and the 49-year Jubilee cycle, you see that the prophecy is pointing to seventy 7-year Shemitah cycles, which is ten 49-year Jubilee cycles. By that you can see that the prophecy has to point to 490-years, so people can’t shorten it by saying that it’s 360-day solar years. That would mean that the whole prophecy is 483 years long, not 490 years.

  2. David,
Thanks for your comments. I have researched the 457BC date and find it satisfies all the criteria to be the starting point of the 70 weeks. That certainly is crucial to reinforce the advent of Messiah’s ministry at the end of the 69th week by fixing it as 27AD and not at his crucifixion in 32AD. Going a little further, the 457BC date does not appear to be a Jubilee year. I understand your comment that the 70 weeks are a type for the 70 7-year Shemitah cycles, but how do you think that reinforces the Jubilee cycles given that 457BC is not a Jubilee year?

    Thanks!

  3. David,
Searching for “years of Israel’s Jubilee dates” shows various charts. Some are different but most show that there was a Jubilee in 485BC and the next in 436BC. Please lead me to a source that shows 457BC.
    Thanks!

    • Michael, There are many false teachers who seek to hide the fulfillment of prophecy. Online sources don’t prove anything unless they can back it up with Scripture.

It’s clear that there’s a Jubilee cycle in the first part of the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 prophecy and that the whole prophecy is ten 49-year Jubilee cycles.

So we can see that the first year would have been a year of Jubilee. 485 BC and 436 BC don’t align with any commands to start the rebuilding of Jerusalem, to start the prophecy.

I explain passages which validate that 457 BC lines up with the year of Jubilee pattern, in my book. You can request a free copy on the home page of the website: https://70thweekofdaniel.com

  4. David,
I found several articles that support the sabbatical cycles of the 70 weeks. Interestingly, one believed that the fact the first 7 weeks was set apart at the beginning of the 70 weeks was to denote the Jubilee cycle of 49 years and thus established it for the remaining weeks. It postulated that after the bondage to Babylon started that the 457BC date was a “reset” for the Jubilee cycle. This is a subtle fact if true that every other source I saw on the Jubilee years doesn’t recognize. It makes some sense because part of Israel’s transgression to cause the captivity was their failure to keep the sabbatical cycles. This particular article felt that the 49 years was too long to coincide with the completion of the temple physically but could be construed as the completion of the restoration of the whole system of worship being in place in Jerusalem with the city rebuilt and the temple functioning.

The deeper you dig the more interesting this prophecy becomes. I appreciate your work on this.

    Mike
