This Revelation Timeline Decoded post features a video from Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship called Antichrist, Antichrists, The Man Of Sin And The Falling Away.
This message was preached by Pastor Chuck Baldwin on Sunday, March 6, 2022, during the service at Liberty Fellowship.
I really appreciate that Pastor Chuck Baldwin teaches the historical fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9 and Messiah’s Olivet Discourse, so I hoped that he was understanding the historicist perspective of prophecy fulfillment in regard to 2 Thessalonians 2, John’s epistles and Revelation.
Someone sent him my trilogy of Bible Prophecy Decoded books and I prayed that he would be able to see the truth about the fulfillment of Revelation and use his platform to proclaim it to the world!
So it’s with great sadness that I listened to his video and am writing this review, because his explanation is off-target.
In this review, I show the key statements that he gives which I disagree with, I give a summary of how the prophecies are fulfilled and then provide links to verse by verse explanations.
Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship makes his argument against the false narrative of futurism, but ignores with witness of historicism!
How does he not understand that the great theologians of history (Albert Barnes, Adam Clarke, John Gill, Matthew Poole), who have written whole Bible commentaries, point to the historical fulfillment of 2 Thessalonians 2 and Revelation by the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome?
How does he ignore the witness of Pastor Henry Grattan Guinness, who wrote the books ‘Romanism and the Reformation‘ and “History Unveiling Prophecy’ to counter the false, futuristic explanations which were starting to take hold in the church in the late 20th century?
How does he ignore the witness of E.B. Elliott who wrote Horae Apocalypticae, a 2,500 page work with 10,000 citations?
How does he not understand how Popes fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘antichrist beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome? All of the Protestant Reformers proclaimed it! The saints who have gone before us have testified about it, some paying for their witness with their blood!

The witness of Scripture and the saints proves that the antichrist beast, the son of perdition, is fulfilled by the office of the papacy; which disproves Chuck Baldwin’s declaration that is a Satanic system not a man.
He seems to be a preterist amillennialist as he’s not giving the historicist explanation and he says that Satan has been bound since the first century. But in Revelation we can see the dragon, Satan, empowering the leaders of the different phases of the Roman beast kingdom.
The little horn of Daniel 7 is pointing to a man who has a mouth that speaks very great things and great words against the Most High. The Popes rose to power over the ten kingdoms of the fallen Roman Empire. They proclaim to be God on earth, to forgive sins and provide salvation; but teach a false gospel.
Revelation 12 describes the Roman Emperors being used by Satan to try to wipe out the early church during ten persecution periods that lasted until 312 AD. That’s 280 years from when Messiah died, which mimics the human gestation period, as the birth of the earth church was painful, especially the last part during the tenth persecution period from 303-312 AD.
The Revelation 13 sea beast describes the Satan-empowered antichrist beast Popes of Rome who had civil authority for 1260-years from 538-1798 AD, during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be tortured and killed during the Dark Ages and Inquisition. They banned and burned the Scriptures to hide the true Gospel.
The Revelation 13 earth beast describes the Satan-empowered false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals, the black popes, who control the Roman beast kingdom in the end-times. The two horns of Revelation 13:11 point to two leaders who feign to be priests of Messiah (like a lamb) but really serve Satan (the dragon) to make war with Messiah and His saints.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the beast of revelation is not ‘the antichrist’
Chuck Baldwin cites theologian Adam Clarke, who I admire and have read many of his writings. Chuck says that Clarke proclaims that any system that is opposed to Christ is antichrist, implying that it’s not a man.
Though its true that any thing that opposes Christ is antichrist, the term antichrist doesn’t just mean ‘against Christ’ but it also means ‘in place of Christ.’
Adam Clarke points to the leader of the Latin church, the Pope, as the man who is empowered by Satan. He blasphemes against the Heavenly Father by proclaiming to be god, to forgive sins and provide salvation.
Messiah said that many false prophets would come in His name. The Popes of Rome have proclaimed to come in the name of Jesus, calling themselves the ‘Vicar of Christ.’
The Popes proclaim to be the high priest that leads Messiah’s church but they teach a false gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father; which is anti-Christ and has deceived billions of ‘Christian’ Catholics, leaving them lost in their sins.
The Popes made war with the saints during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition, killing tens of millions, fulfilling the prophecies about the little horn of Daniel 7 and the beast of Revelation 13.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that Ezekiel 38-39 is about Antiochus Epiphanes.
How would Gog and Magog in Revelation 20 be about a Grecian leader who lived over two millennium ago???
Chuck Baldwin understands the deception about the Zionist state of Israel, but he doesn’t get that Lord Rothschild is Gog and the Khazar Jews are Magog. They are Jews by religion not blood. They revere the Satanic Babylonian Talmud and Egyptian Kabbalah, and use the sorcery to steal, kill and destroy.
They are the Jews that Messiah foretold in Revelation 3, who say they are Jews but do lie and are of the synagogue of Satan.
The Prime Ministers of Israel all came from Russia or Poland, which are the primary places that the Khazar Jews fled to when they were pushed out of Khazaria. And they changed their last names to sound more Jewish.
Gog and Magog, Lord Rothschild and the Khazar Jews, have already come against the land of unwalled villages in Palestine. They have already stolen most of the land and killed many of the residents. And they have turned it into the most walled-up, gated place in the world, where they carry out genocide against the Palestinians.
After the antichrist beast Pope and the false prophet Jesuit Superior General are effectively captured per Revelation 19:20, Satan will stir up Gog and Magog, Lord Rothschild and the Khazar Jews, to come against Messiah’s saints.
It will pit the fake Khazar Jews of physical Jerusalem against the true Israelites, those who have a covenant relationship with the Father through the Son, who are called Holy Jerusalem.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the man of sin, the son of perdition, in 2 Thessalonians 2 is Satan.
He says that Judas was called the son of perdition because Satan entered him. This is true, but his explanation that the son of perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2 is Satan, serves to hide that a son of perdition is a person who feigns to be a follower of Messiah but is really a betrayer.
This is what the Popes of Rome do, as they proclaim to lead Messiah’s church, but they teach a false gospel and they historically have caused tens of millions of saints to be killed during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition. And now the Pope teaches that all religions lead to the same god.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship points to the fallacy of futurism and the concept of a one-man antichrist sitting in a rebuilt temple.
Futurism was created by the Jesuit priests in the 16th century to counter the Reformers, who properly identified the Popes of Rome as fulfilling prophecy as the son of perdition and the antichrist beast, who leads the harlot church of Rome.
Pastor Baldwin rightly points out the fallacy of futurism, but he ignores the historicist explanation of how the Popes of Rome are the antichrist beast of Revelation who leads the harlot church of Rome.
The Jesuit priests also created the false narrative of preterism, which proclaims that the prophecies in Revelation were fulfilled in the first few centuries.
The Popes have already proclaimed to be God, to forgive sins and to provide salvation, which is blasphemy.
The Popes proclaim to lead Messiah’s church, thus they sit in the temple. The Popes sit in ornate basilicas, supposed Christian temples, which are full of graven images and symbols of the worship of the pagan gods of the Babylonian Mystery Religion, thus the Roman Catholic Church’s name ‘Mystery, Babylon the Great.’
Their basilicas are full of the goods that are described in Revelation 18.
Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that Satan is proclaiming a false gospel.
How does he not see that the Satan-empowered son of perdition, antichrist beast Popes are false prophets, fake priests of Messiah, who preach a false gospel which has deceived billions of Catholics???
Those who revere (mark on forehead) and obey (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist beast Popes have the mark of the beast on them. Today, that includes 1.3 billion Catholics. But Chuck Baldwin’s explanations are hiding this truth!

Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that the Holy Spirit is the restrainer of 2 Thessalonians 2.
If it was the Holy Spirit, Paul would have just said that. But he couldn’t say that it’s the Roman Emperor who was restraining the son of perdition Popes from taking power, as that would have invited more persecution.
Daniel, Paul and John all pointed to the Popes of Rome rising to power after the restrainer, the Western Roman Emperor, was removed from power. This took place in 476 AD during the fourth trumpet judgment. The son of perdition Popes were given civil and ecclesiastic authority shortly afterward in 538 AD.
Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship says that Paul is not pointing to a singular apostasy.
Chuck Baldwin is effectively hiding the falling away that took place in the fourth century, when Constantine and the Roman bishops created Romanism, the false Christian religion which Satan uses to deceive people in the name of Jesus Christ.
After centuries of harsh persecution, many fell away from the Scriptural faith and followed the man-made doctrine of Roman Christianity, which still affects believers today. It’s the false Christian religion of the antichrist beast Popes, which has deceived billions of Catholics.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship points to Darby and Scofield promoting futurism.
But he fails to point out that the false, futuristic teachings of Darby and Scofield serve to hide the truth of historicism, which is what the Protestant Reformers and the great theologians of the 16th-20th centuries proclaimed.
The protege of Cyrus Scofield was Lewis Sperry Chafer, who when Scofield died, took over as pastor of his church. Chafer then went on to found Dallas Theological Seminary, from which the leaven of the Jesuit’s futuristic deceptions have spread around the world.
The antichrist beast Pope empowered the Jesuits in the 16th century to counter the Reformers, by creating the false narrative of a futuristic one-man antichrist in the end times.

Hello David, and thank you for this analysis on Chuck Baldwin’s sermon on Antichrist, Antichrists, and Man of Sin… which I was going to view myself later today. But i went to it this morning instead following your email regarding it.
At about the 46 min mark or so, Chuck Baldwin states “Satan is bound today.He does not have the power to deceive the nations.” … “But as Christ is about to return, Satan will be released from this bondage, this hindrance, and then he will be revealed by God and destroyed.”
This is a very stirred up, mixed up line of reasoning – Satan is most certainly deceiving at full throttle in today’s world!
Hello Jackie, thank you for sharing your insight. Yeah, I look back at the last 2,000 years and see how Satan has used the Emperors > Popes > Generals of Rome to carry out his agenda of making war with Messiah and His saints. Revelation 13 and 16 point to Satan working through the antichrist beast Popes. Indeed, Satan is in a rage right now as his time is short! Watching the video made me sad, as I had high hopes for him!
Jackie, I made the same observation. I watch Chuck every week on the live broadcast. That was one of the most confusing statements he’s ever made, and I agree wholeheartedly with your comment.
Guy, it really was a very confusing statement. Practically alarming. For Chuck Baldwin himself to believe what he does is truly bad enough but add to it that this is what he teaches to his in-house and online followers is terrible. Believers must pay due diligence to what they hear and who they follow. As David says Satan is in a rage now and time is very short. People need to be careful who they align with if they don’t put in personal effort under the Holy Spirit and study Scripture.

If Pastor Baldwin continues down this Biblical prophecy road in omitting the history, truth, and Scripture that gave birth to Chrisian Zionism, Scofield futurism, and Israel-based prophecy (Chuck’s words), he is going to lead people straight into the arms of the antichrist beast Popes, Papacy and its universal church gaining momentum right now with evangelicals.
This is the one world religion and government antichrist beast system. It is Jesuit based and the U.S. Presidency, Congress, and most governments are run by the Jesuit order.

He will not touch the hundreds of millions of people that died at the hands of the Roman Catholic Church. Why? He talks about (and should) all of the death and mayhem at the hands of the Zionist (false) Jews in Palestine but why not the millions who died at the hands of the Jesuit controlled Popes and Papacy.
Chuck’s past political career raises a whole set of other issues that I will not discuss here but I will say this. We all learn from our mistakes and deceptions in our lives as Christians. I’m the first one to tell you I was deceived by the church and private (so-called) Christian school.
However, if we know the truth and dismiss it or omit it for any reason, we are no better than any other hypocrite or Pharisee!
Chuck’s loyalty and affection for Ron Paul (still very much today), Thomas Jefferson (still very much today), Jerry Falwell, and the John Birch Society all concern me greatly. April, the analysis that David provides on this one video of Chuck Baldwin’s sermon on the Antichrist is an amazing outline of point after point depictions of false teachings that Chuck Baldwin professes. Denying that the Antichrist is a man by saying that “the Antichrist is not a man; the Antichrist is a system.” Never mentioning the Catholic church, the popes and their role, and seemingly not getting involved with the Book of Revelation, not to mention the Jesuits (as you brought up along with current notables in our country and the world’s prominent nations), admiring our founding fathers and some politicians which brings in Ron Paul, and others.
If David had not educated me through his work just these past 8 or so months since finding his work, I would not have yet found the truth! So, his analysis of videos of teachings by pastors and Youtube “teachers” has to be viewed as a most valuable “check” to what these “teachers” are professing. What David is doing is a great service to those who can see and who can study it and can find their way out of their darkness before it is too late!
We really do need to pray for all who are being deceived by Satan. The battle to be a true follower of our Messiah gets more intense and darker by the minute.
