This Revelation Timeline Decoded post reviews a Facebook post about the little book in Revelation 10.
Someone in the UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION Facebook Bible prophecy group asked ‘Who was asked to take the book in the angel’s hand and eat it, and prophesy again, but it will be sweet in the mouth but bitter in the stomach.’
The explanation is one of those ‘aha’ moments, when you see the fulfillment and are amazed that it’s so simple and clear.
The Protestant Reformers were given the little book, as the antichrist beast Popes had banned and burned the Scriptures during the Dark Ages. So when the Reformers were given the Scriptures to read, they were as sweet as honey. But with that came more persecution during the Inquisition, thus they were bitter in the stomach.
The Protestant Reformers translated the Scriptures in English, German, etc. and with the timely advent of the printing press, the little book of Revelation 10, the printed Bible, was created.
The Protestant Reformers fulfilled the command by proclaiming (prophesying) the pure Gospel to help people see that what the Roman Catholic Church teaches is a false gospel message of works. Millions of people were saved and they came out of the Roman Catholic Church. Worldwide missions took place and Bible Societies spread the little book, the printed Bible, all over the world.
