The Fulfillment Of Revelation Revealed In Roman Coins

This Revelation Timeline Decoded Bible study shows you the fulfillment of Revelation with Roman coins.

In His apocalyptic vision, Messiah gives the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.

Roman Empire historian Edward Gibbons documented The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire,  which gives a narrative that spans from the time of the 1st seal when the Roman Empire was at it’s height of power until the 6th trumpet when the empire fell as Constantinople was captured by the Turks in 1453 AD. Gibbon wasn’t a believer who was trying to show the fulfillment of prophecy, but his work serves that purpose.

The leaders of the fourth beast kingdom of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7, the Roman beast kingdom, can’t not fulfill prophecy, and they unknowingly leave many clues which help us confirm the fulfillment of specific prophecies.

When I was doing research for the Revelation Timeline Decoded book, the Spirit led me to find different coins which align with the prophecies to show the fulfillment. There aren’t coins for every prophecy, but there’s enough to tell the story of the fulfillment of Revelation.

This is just a summary. I give a detailed verse-by-verse explanation in the Revelation Timeline Decoded videos, audios and book. Links are provided to the studies on this website.

The first seal of Revelation 6

The first seal of Revelation points to the Roman Empire conquering nations, when the emperors rode on a white horse and wore a laurel wreath crown during their victory parades.

Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

At the death of Emperor Domitian, the Roman Senate appointed an elder statesman named Nerva in his place, a descendent from the Island of Crete. He was the first to occupy the throne of Augustus, who was not of Roman descent. He was selected on the merit of his ability.

With the ‘bow’ Messiah is pointing at the five Emperors of the Cretan Dynasty of Nerva [Nerva (96–98), Trajan (98–117), Hadrian (117–138), Antoninus Pius (138–161), Marcus Aurelius (161–180)], as their warriors were known as the most famous race of bowmen in the ancient world. Alexander the Great used large companies of Cretan archers and Roman armies used them during Julius Caesar’s time.

Emperor Trajan reigned from 98-117 AD and he sought to extend the boundaries of the Empire to the east. Trajan proved his greatness among scholars as perhaps second only to Augustus.

Marcus Aurelius, and the sometimes forgotten Lucius Verus, continued that pattern while re-establishing military superiority among the bordering Germanic tribes.

Roman historian Edward Gibbon calls their rule the most prosperous time in the empire, when they were conquering nations and there was peace in the kingdom.

Cretan Roman Emperor Hadrian had a coin struck with him wearing his laurel crown on the front, and on the back, he is riding on a horse to celebrate their military victory.

The second seal of Revelation 6

The red horse of the second seal points to a time of bloody civil wars in the Roman Empire from 185-284 AD.

Revelation 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

It went into a phase of revolution and civil war for ninety years, during which there were 32 emperors and 27 contenders for the throne.

The third seal of Revelation 6

The black horse of the third seal represents the despair and gloom of the Roman people, as they were taxed excessively to pay for all of the wars, which caused a major economic depression.

Revelation 6:5-6 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

As you can see on this coin, the pair of scales represents the Roman Empire’s justice and commerce. As the taxes increased, the burden got heavier on the people, and they were ground down, and they suffered as the economy declined. The denarius of Emperor Tiberius was referred to as the Tribute Penny, which represented a laborers’ daily wages.

A shortage of coins may have led to the government receiving tax payments with food products. If citizens couldn’t pay their taxes in coinage, they were allowed to pay with the equivalent value of wheat, barley, wine, and oil.

The fourth seal of Revelation 6

The pale horse of the fourth seal points to famine, pestilence and death in the Roman Empire from 250-300 AD.

Due to the excessive taxes, many farmers and ranchers stopped producing and moved into the cities. This led to a shortage of food in the empire.

The pale horse represents 1/4th of Romans dying from famine, plague, pestilence and violence. The word ‘earth‘ is pointing to the Roman Empire as the ‘land’ of prophecy.

The fifth seal of Revelation 6

The fifth seal judgment represents the millions of martyrs killed by the Roman Empire, as Satan used the Emperors to try to wipe out Messiah’s assembly of saints and their blood symbolically cried out for vengeance.

Revelation 6:9-10 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

The Roman Empire was in decline and they blamed the saints of Messiah for their refusal to worship the Roman gods.

The saints endured ten persecution periods, starting with Emperor Nero, who blamed them for the fire in Rome to justify killing them. Emperors Maximinus and Gallienus were both great butchers, both to their own subjects that were heathens and to the saints. Gallienus is said to have killed three or four thousand every day.

When facing a critical battle, Emperors would make a vow to the god of Jupiter (which symbolizes Satan), that if they were given victory, they would carry out his agenda. We see the pagan god Jupiter on the coin of Emperor Diocletian.

Now let’s connect the fifth seal with the Smyrna church era.

Smyrna’s name comes from the word ‘myrrh,’ a tree resin with a bitter taste that was crushed and used in perfume, incense, and as a preservative in burial. It’s a symbol of death, which is appropriate for this church era. Messiah pointed to ten days, ten prophetic years.

Fear none of those things which thou shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Revelation 2:10

The most terrible, most prolonged persecution in the history of the early assembly of saints occurred during the Tenth Persecution, as Diocletian and Maxentius sought to root out Messiah’s Ekklesia from the very face of the earth, from 303-312 AD.

Messiah had only words of encouragement and comfort in her sufferings at the hands of her persecutors. Their blood was crying out for Him to avenge their deaths. And vengeance came soon, as the trumpet judgments were poured out on the pagan Roman Empire when barbarian armies were sent to attack it, leading to its fall.

The sixth seal of Revelation 6

The sixth seal judgment represents political upheaval as the emperors of Rome fought against each other for supremacy.

Revelation 6:12-14 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Emperor Constantine was given a vision and told that he would conquer using the sign of the Chi-Rho cross which we see on the reverse of this coin.

Constantine defeated Diocletian’s army in 312 AD, which ended the persecutions. Diocletian (the Sun) was so panic stricken, he died insane. Constantine defeated emperors Maxentius and Licinius to become sole ruler of both west and east by 324 AD.

The Roman leaders (stars) fell and their power receded as a scroll. The mountains and islands that were moved out of place, were the countries and people that were affected by this political change.

Revelation 8

Revelation 8:1 is pointing to the time between the historical series of the seal judgments and the pending trumpet judgments, when there was peace in the Roman Empire.

Revelation 8:1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

In the context of the historical fulfillment of the seals of Revelation, when Constantine gave the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, it gave liberty to the saints, and there was peace for a little while.

Amazingly, a Roman coin was minted in 322 AD that had Constantine on the front and ‘Beata Tranquillitas’ on the back, which means ‘Blessed Tranquility.’

There was relative peace for the saints in the Roman Empire from the time Constantine took control until after Emperor Theodosius I, who ruled from 378-395 AD.

While the Romans enjoyed a time of peace, the savage nations were amassing on the borders, awaiting their time to attack the mighty Empire. The Goths revered Emperor Theodosius, so while he was alive, they didn’t attack. When he died in January 395 AD, the Empire was left to his weaker sons, Arcadius and Honorius, and the time of peace ended.

During the trumpet judgments, the Roman Empire was attacked by barbarian armies, so they weren’t focused on minting coins. Here’s a summary of their fulfillment.

Army after army were sent to attack and conquer the different areas of the vast kingdom.  Trumpets are symbols employed to indicate war against the enemy.

First Trumpet – Hail can point to war in Bible symbolism, and Elohim caused the Goths, who were led by Alaric, to move in the direction in which literal hail came (north to south). They attacked the Roman Empire from 400-410 AD, in Greece, Gaul and Spain. Then 300,000 Goths invaded Italy. The fire represents the ‘scorched earth’ policy in their invasions of enemy territory.

Second Trumpet – A mountain in Biblical symbolism represents a great nation and a sea is a large group of people. It represents Elohim sending the Vandals, led by Genseric, to attack the coast-lands of the Roman territory of the Mediterranean and all the islands from 425-470 AD, leaving bloodshed and confusion in their wake.

Third Trumpet – A star in prophecy symbolizes a leader. Elohim sent this great burning star, Attila the king of the Huns, who was called “the scourge of God.” Attila and his 800,000 man army rose quickly and flashed across the land in 451 AD, and desolated the Italian Alps, which is the source of the Danube, Rhine and Po rivers. The dead bodies in the rivers made the water ‘bitter’ (wormwood).

Fourth Trumpet – The sun, moon and stars, can symbolize leadership structure. Here it represents Elohim using Odoacer and the Heruli, a branch of the Goths, to cause the downfall of Roman leadership when Romulus Augustalus, the last Western Roman Emperor (the sun) of the West was captured in 476 AD. The hierarchy of Roman leaders (moon and stars) would have lost power too.

Judgment continued to be poured out on the vast Roman Empire.

The Fifth Trumpet represents Elohim using the Arabian (Mohammedan) army against the Roman Empire from 632-782 AD, which is 150 years (5 months x 30 days = 150 days). They wore turbans (crowns of gold); they had beards (faces of men, as the Roman shaved); they had long hair like women; they wore chain-mail (breast-plates of iron); and they were fierce (teeth of lions). The ‘falling star’ was Mohammed, the ‘smoke’ out of Satan’s bottomless pit is the false religion of Islam, which hides the Gospel from Arabs eyes.

The Sixth Trumpet represents Elohim releasing the Turks to cross over the Euphrates River to conquer 1/3rd of the Roman Empire for 391 years (prepared for the hour and day and month and year, 1 + 30 + 360 = 391) from 1062-1453 AD. They used gunpowder muskets, so ‘fire, smoke and brimstone’ appeared at their horses mouths. They used large cannons, some with the faces of lions on them, to knock down the thick protective walls of Constantinople.

Revelation 11

Revelation 11:1-2 was primarily fulfilled by Catholic monk Martin Luther who was given the Scriptures and told to measure the Roman Catholic Church, meaning to compare what the popes teach against the rule of the Word. 

The temple of Messiah is not physical, but rather spiritual as Messiah is the cornerstone, the disciples the foundation and the saints the little stones that make up the walls.

Luther found that the Roman Catholic Church is an apostate church which teaches a false gospel and many manmade traditions, which are contrary to Scripture and Messiah.

The Roman Catholic Church is the tares church that was planted by the enemy, which proclaims to be Messiah’s ‘one-true church,’ but is really antichrist.

This 1465 Papal States Paul II Bronze Medal with Pope  XXX asks, ‘Did not he build the house of Christ?’

The answer is no, the antichrist beast popes built the harlot church of Rome which is full of abominations. The pope’s basilicas are full of forbidden graven images and wicked crucifixes which keep Messiah on the cross, symbolically mocking him.

The Roman Catholic Church has the appearance of being a part of Messiah’s temple, but it is delegated to the outer court of Gentiles as it teaches a false gospel and false intercessor in Mary.

Revelation 12 

The narrative of Revelation 12 is about the painful birth of Messiah’s Ekklesia of saints, His church, which endured ten persecution periods at the hands of the pagan Roman Emperors.

Amazingly, there was about 280 years from Messiah’s death until 312 AD, when the last persecution period ended, which mimics the human gestation cycle, giving the symbolism of the birth of Messiah’s Ekklesia.

Satan used the Emperors to try to wipe out Messiah’s saints, but Messiah’s church just grew faster. So Satan had Constantine and the Roman bishops codify the false Christian religion of Romanism, to seek to destroy Messiah’s Ekklesia from within.

The Roman Catholic Church has the veneer of the Scriptural faith but uses the symbolism of pagan god worship, and teaches a false gospel of works and a false intercessor in Mary.

When the ‘restrainer’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, the Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, it led to the rise of the man of sin, son of perdition popes of Rome. Read The Son Of Perdition Of 2 Thessalonians 2

The sea beast of Revelation 13

The sea beast of Revelation 13 points to the 1,260-year reign of power of the antichrist beast popes of Rome from 538-1798 AD, when they controlled the Roman beast kingdom and persecuted Messiah’s saints.

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The Roman Emperors were known as Pontifex Maximus, the leader of church and state. The Roman Empire had seven forms of government which is symbolized by seven heads. The sixth head was the Western Roman Emperors.

The last Western Roman Emperor was removed from civil power in 476 AD, during the fourth trumpet judgment, ending that office, which is symbolized as ‘wounded to death.’

After the antichrist beast popes were given civil and ecclesiastic authority in 538 AD, they took the title of Pontifex Maximus as the leader of church and state over the Roman beast kingdom, which is symbolized as the deadly wound being healed.

Here is a coin from Pope Leo XIII which has the title of Pont Max.

Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Here’s a medal of Pope Gregory XIII which has a dragon (Satan) on the reverse and serpents intertwined on the pope’s staff.

Here’s a 1582 papal medal of Pope Gregory XIII, marking the Gregorian calendar reform year.

On the reverse is a winged dragon, called an Ouroboros, a symbol of a serpent that grew so large that it surrounded the Earth and grasped its tail. It’s a symbol of Satan.

The ram’s head symbolizes Baphomet, Satan. It’s telling you who the antichrist beast pope serves, who empowers him. It doesn’t get any clearer than this!

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

The antichrist beast popes ruled over the ten kingdoms of the fallen Western Roman Empire and they commanded the leaders to persecute the saints, killing tens of millions during the Dark Ages and Inquisition.

Here’s a coin that King Louis XIV had struck, which says ‘Extinguish Heresies,’ marking his revocation of the Edict of Nantes (1685), causing the saints to be persecuted. It features a woman, the harlot church of Rome, seeking to eliminate the two witnesses against them. Below her is a dead saint who is holding the Scriptures in his hand, both of which witnessed against the antichrist beast popes.

Here’s a 1686 French medal marking the Huguenots’ destruction, in which the Pope is wearing his three-tiered tiara. He’s holding two keys in his left hand, declaring his authority in heaven and earth, and three arrows in his right hand, signifying his thunderbolt bulls.

A Jesuit priest is holding a scroll, no doubt their Constitutions, which lay out their plan to bring the Protestants back under the pope’s power. It depicts protestants dead at their feet. On the reverse, we see Messiah’s saints hanging, being dragged behind the horse, dead and being eaten by wild animals.

Revelation 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

The antichrist beast popes used the sword against Messiah’s saints, and now the sword was used against him, as the white pope was removed from civil power in 1798 AD, during the fifth vial judgment.

Revelation 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The false prophet Jesuit Superior General took control of the Vatican, but the black pope can’t rule openly as people knew the evil ways of the Jesuits. So he uses the white pope as the spokesman, to gather the world under their authority.

Revelation 13:14-15 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

The word ‘image’ is Strong’s 1504 eikon, which means: a likeness, i.e. (literally) statue, profile, or (figuratively) representation, resemblance:—image.

The ‘beast,’ the popes of Rome, had civil and ecclesiastic authority over the Roman beast kingdom for 1,260 years until 1798 AD when they lost their civil power. During the 19th century, they lost more authority over people. Read The Antichrist Beast Of Johns Epistles And Revelation 

Though the black pope controls the Vatican, he can’t rule openly, as people know his evil deeds; so he needed to prop the white pope back up to power. A ‘likeness,’ an ‘image,’ is something that makes it appear that the white popes have civil authority again.

In 1929 AD, the Jesuits got Benito Mussolini to sign a concordat at the Lateran Treaty in Rome on behalf of King Victor Emmanuel III. It established Vatican City as a sovereign state and guaranteed full and independent sovereignty to the Holy See.

Pope Pius XI reigned from 1922-1939 AD and he had this coin made that says ‘Face Christi Italiae Reddita’ in Latin, which in English means ’Returning the Italian face of Christ.’

It’s pointing to the image of the Italian Christ, the Pope, the Vicar of Christ, returning to power, so the ‘image of the beast’ was established.

On the back is the blasphemous Eucharist ceremony golden cup of abominations. In the background are the two main temples of the Popes, the Lateran Basilica and St. Peter’s Basilica. Notice that it has an IHS Jesuit sun, showing the authority of the Jesuit Superior General, as the true leader, the sun.

Regarding the phrase ‘which had the wound by a sword, and did live,’ the office of the papacy lost civil power in 1798 AD, when the Jesuit General caused Napoleon’s army to remove the white pope from power. But the office of the white pope lives on to this day, so it still lives, though the black pope controls the Roman beast kingdom now.

Here’s a 1929 AD coin from Pope Pius XI that says ‘Stato Della Cittadel Vaticano,’ which means ‘State of Vatican City.’ The city-state corporation of Vatican City, with the white pope as the spokesman, is the ‘image of the beast’ as he appears to be the leader of Rome’s church and state. But it’s just an image, as the black pope controls the Vatican.

Since the Lateran Treaty of 1929 AD, Vatican coins have said ‘Citta Del Vaticano,’ which means ‘Vatican City.’ Best as I can tell, that phrase was never used beforehand, which points to the significance of this event, as the Popes now have the image of being a civil leader again.

The false prophet Jesuit Superior General props up the antichrist beast pope as the world leader to use him and the Vatican to gather the world under their power. Only this time, they’re pretending to be nice. It’s interesting that Pope Francis is the first Jesuit white pope.

Revelation 14

Revelation 14 gave a special blessing for the Protestants who were preaching the everlasting gospel and were martyred during the Papal Inquisition.

And it gave warning to those who had the mark of the beast, as Elohim poured out His wrath on France, Spain and other countries, who had killed the Protestants.

There are two separate mentions of the mark of the beast in the Bible, this one in the 17th-18th centuries; and one that comes during the reign of the earth beast in the last days. Read The Fulfillments Of The Mark Of The Beast

France and Spain had many Catholics who had the mark of the beast on them, not physically, but symbolically. Their reverence of the pope is the ‘mark on their forehead.’ Their obedience of his commands is the ‘mark on right their hand.’ This tells us what the mark really means.

France was called the Eldest Son of the Papal Church, because their leaders diligently followed the Pope’s orders. France was split between Catholics and Protestants (called the Huguenots), so the Pope caused the King of France to have his people make war with the Protestants. At the St. Batholomew’s Day Massacre, they killed tens of thousands of Huguenots.

Here’s a coin that King Louis XIV had struck, which says ‘Extinguish Heresies,’ marking his revocation of the Edict of Nantes (1685), causing the saints to be persecuted. It features a woman, the harlot church of Rome, seeking to eliminate the witnesses against them, who lie at her feet.

This is why the Apostle John marveled at the vision given to him in Revelation 17, as he couldn’t comprehend a Christian church being used to kill the saints.

The persecution in France was so severe, that no Protestants were left, as one million of them had either been killed or they fled.

Because France, Spain and other countries revered the Pope, bowed to his authority and followed his commands to kill millions of Protestants, they had the mark of the beast on them, so Elohim poured out His wrath on them with the vialjudgments.

The vial judgments in Revelation 16

The Jesuits were so ruthless in their killing, stealing and destroying, that many countries expelled them, including countries that were predominantly Catholic. (Portuguese Empire, France, the Two Sicilies, Malta, Parma and the Spanish Empire)

The King of France encouraged Pope Clement XIV to suppress the Jesuits, which he did on July 21, 1773. This coin marks that occasion.

This caused the Jesuits to seek revenge on the white pope, the King of France, and the countries that had banned them.

That pope died from poisoning in 1774 AD. Elohim used the Jesuits desire for revenge, to avenge the killing of His followers in France, Spain and the other countries, to carry out the vial judgments.

The first vial was poured out when the Jesuits caused the foul and loathsome sore of atheism to spread across France. The French Protestants had been killed, so the Catholic religion was all that was left. Elohim allowed the abomination of atheism to turn the French people away from the Papal Church.

The second vial was poured out as the Jesuits incited the French people to revolt against the Catholic Church leaders and France’s leaders, and their heads rolled. During the French Revolution 250,000 were killed in the very places that the French Protestants had been killed. Water symbolically represents people. In this case, it represents the French people in the large cities being killed.

The third vial was poured out as the bloody French Revolution spread out from the major cities (seas) to the more rural areas (rivers and springs, smaller groups of people) where they had shed the blood of saints and prophets, and now it was time for them to drink the same fate.

The fourth vial was poured out as the Jesuits caused the bloody Napoleonic wars with countries that had previously banned them, so they were getting their revenge. The ‘sun’ represents the mighty military leader Napoleon, who within the space of eight years, scorched every kingdom in Europe, from Naples to Berlin, and from Lisbon to Moscow. Elohim used it to exact revenge against the countries that had shed the blood of His followers. But the leaders of the countries did not repent, they blasphemed Elohim for His punishment.

The fifth vial was poured out on the ‘seat of the beast,’ as the office of the Papacy lost their power in 1798 AD. Shortly after the French Revolution, the Papal States were invaded by French forces, and they removed Pope Pius VI, who died in exile in Valence (France) in 1799. Their 1,260-year reign was ended by the hand of Elohim, but they repented not. They blasphemed Elohim because of the pains and sores of losing their authority.

The sixth vial was poured out to dry up the Ottoman Empire, the people (river) of the Euphrates who had been released during the 6th Trumpet. During the 18th and 19th centuries, they lost control of the Middle East, including Palestine to General Allenby of Great Britain in 1917 AD.

Revelation 17

Revelation 17 describes the harlot Roman Catholic Church that is led by the antichrist beast pope, which carries out the Babylonian Mystery Religion in her ceremonies and has been drunk with the blood of the saints.

Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

This bronze papal medal of Pope Leo XII was minted in 1825 to commemorate his reign’s second year. The inscription reads ‘SEDET SUPER UNIVERSUM,’ declaring that ‘her seat of authority is universal, over the entire earth.’ The Roman Catholic Popes and priests use the golden cup during their blasphemous Eucharist ceremony.

Revelation 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

In 1572 AD, Roman Catholic soldiers butchered upwards of 100,000 French Protestants (Huguenots) during the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre that started in Paris. The (Roman Catholic) king of France cleverly arranged a marriage between his sister and Admiral Coligny, the chief Protestant leader. There was a great feast with much celebrating.

After four days of feasting, the soldiers were given a signal. At midnight, all the houses of the Protestants in the city were forced open at once. The admiral was killed, his body thrown out of a window into the street where his head was cut off and sent first to the Roman Catholic Cardinal of Lorraine and then on to become a pope.

In the first three days, over ten thousand were killed. The bodies were thrown into the river, and blood ran through the streets into the river until it appeared like a stream of blood. From Paris, the destruction spread to all parts of the country. Very few Protestants escaped the fury of the Catholic persecutors.

At Orleans, a thousand were slain of men, women, and children, and six thousand at Rouen. At Meldith, two hundred were put into prison, and later brought out by units and cruelly murdered. At Lyons, eight hundred were massacred. At Augustobona, on the people hearing of the massacre at Paris, they shut their gates that no Protestants might escape. They searched diligently for every individual of the Reformed Church, imprisoned and then barbarously murdered them.

Upon hearing of the bloodshed in Paris, Pope Gregory XIII celebrated by declaring a jubilee day of public thanksgiving. He had a coin made to commemorate the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, which shows an angel (symbolizing the harlot Roman Church) holding a cross and a sword slaying the Huguenot saints.

It represents the Roman Catholic Church as an avenging angel slaying the ‘heretics,’ offering them the alternative of the crucifix or the sword. The dead lie all around the feet of the blood-drunk slayer. Indeed, she was drunk with the blood of the saints!

Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

Here’s a coin made of Emperor Vespasian, who reigned from 69-79 AD. On it, we see a woman sitting on the seven hills of Rome. It doesn’t get any clearer; John is pointing to Rome as the great city of Revelation!

Seven hills is a well-known feature of the city of Rome. All the Latin poets for five hundred years speak of Rome as the seven-hilled city.

Early Church Father Victorinus, who suffered martyrdom in 303 AD under Diocletian, wrote the earliest commentary on the Apocalypse. It says in Revelation 17: “The seven heads are the seven hills on which the woman sitteth – that is, the city of Rome.”

Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Here’s a coin featuring Pope Saint John XXIII. It was made in 1961, and it has the words ‘CITTA’ DEL VATICANO.’

The word Vaticanus refers to Vatican Hill (in Latin, Vaticanus Mons). The etymology of the word ‘anus’ can point to an ‘old woman.’ Putting them together, we see that ‘CITTA’ DEL VATICANO’ is pointing to the ‘city of an old woman of prophecy.’

Seeing the fulfillment of many of the prophecies in Revelation on Roman coins is amazing. The historical fulfillment of most of the prophecies in Revelation during the last 1,900 years validates their authority of the Bible and the deity of Messiah, which is why the enemy has worked so hard to hide the truth.
