This Revelation Timeline Decoded post features a video from Scott Clarke, called How Long Is The Tribulation?
Video Description: Three and a half, seven, even fourteen years are some lengths people claim. Let’s search the scriptures.
Before I begin my review of Scott Clarke’s explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
These reviews are not a personal attack on the person, but an open rebuttal of their explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!
Scott Clarke points to a future 70th week of Daniel 9.
This is the key mistake that people make as they’ve been misled to believe that there’s a 2000-year time gap in a 490-year prophecy.
.
Any teacher who is basing their explanation of Revelation on the concept of a future 70th week of Daniel 9, the 7-year tribulation period, is misleading you. The false concept of a 7-year tribulation period is based on the 70-weeks of Daniel 9 prophecy.
The prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the (everlasting) covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about the end times or the antichrist.

Scott Clarke says that the two witnesses will prophecy for first half of the 70th week.
The two witnesses are the Scriptures and the saints, who witnessed against the antichrist beast popes during their 1,260-year reign of power from 538-1798 AD.
Messiah said that the Scriptures testify about Him and that His disciples are His witnesses. The popes banned and burned the Scriptures and caused tens of millions of Messiah’s saints to be killed during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition.
The popes were so relentless, that in May 1514 AD, they proclaimed that all of Christendom was under their authority, and that there were no witnesses left against them. And they celebrated with great feasts.
Then 3 1/2 years later, on October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 Thesis which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the saints back to life.
With the timely advent of the printing press, the little book of Revelation 10, the printed Bible, was spread around the world.
The Reformers proclaimed the Gospel and millions of Catholics were redeemed for the kingdom. Then worldwide missions and Bible Societies proclaimed the Gospel around the world.

Scott Clarke cites Mark 13:20, which is Messiah’s Olivet Discourse, to say that the days are shortened from 14, to 7, to 3 1/2.
The Olivet Discourse is not about the end times. Rather it is about the time of Jacob’s Trouble which came upon the unbelieving Jewish nation as punishment for them rejecting Messiah and delivering Him up to be killed.
Daniel 9:26 declared that Jerusalem and the second temple would be destroyed. This was punishment for the unbelieving Jews who delivered Messiah up to be killed ‘cut off.’
Daniel 12 foretold the ‘time of trouble’ for the unbelieving Jewish nation during the 3 1/2 years of the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD; during which 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
Matthew 23:31-Matthew 24:36 foretold the events that took place before the judgment of the unbelieving Jews, which took place in that generation, during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD.

Scott Clarke cites the affliction in Mark 13:19 and great tribulation in Matthew 24:21, to apply them to the end times.
Messiah’s Olivet Discourse pointed to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation in that generation of Jews who rejected Messiah and delivered Him up to be killed.
The saints saw the army of Luke 22:20-21 surround Jerusalem in 66 AD, and they fled to the mountains to escape the coming judgment. During the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD, 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
Read The Great Tribulation Of The Olivet Discourse
Scott Clarke cites Revelation 12:13 to say that the woman is Israel and that the persecutions are against Israel.
In a way this is true, as Messiah’s saints, both Jews and Gentiles, are the Commonwealth Of Israel.
Revelation 12-13 describe the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Roman Emperors > antichrist beast popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.

Revelation 12 points to the ten persecution periods of Messiah’s followers by the pagan Emperors. The birth of Messiah’s Ekklesia of saints, His church, was painful, especially at the end when Diocletian sought to wipe out Messiah’s saints.

I pray that this posts helps wake you up, so that you can see how the enemy has deceived the end-times saints, for Messiah’s return draw nigh and you don’t want to be caught off-guard like the foolish virgins who don’t have the oil of Scriptural truth to light their way.
Scott Clarke teach a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The explanations of Scott Clarke serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.

Hello brother David,
Do you take requests in conducting reviews on various pastors? I’m just curious; a very popular pastor, Jack Hibbs, did a recent 3 part series on ‘Signs of the Coming Antichrist’ thats getting a lot of views & attention. But, what else is new, many if not all pastors are doing same.
If interested, here’s a link to Jack Hibbs, part 1, Signs of the coming Antichrist.

Keep up the great work David!
Shalom
Hello brother Mike, I listened to the Jack Hibbs video. I used to attend Calvary Chapel. One of the reasons that I left is because of their futurist explanations of prophecy. Jack proclaimed a lot of false narratives in the video. I’ll publish a post in the next day or so. Keep pressing on for the glory of our King! Shalom.
Mike, here’s a link to my review of Jack Hibbs Signs of the Coming Antichrist – Part 1. https://revelationtimelinedecoded.com/jack-hibbs-signs-of-the-coming-antichrist-part-1/
Great David! This will be very helpful along with your one page pdf summaries; a good start for the Bible study group I attend, they “love” Jack Hibbs and often site him.
Thx brother David, Shalom!
Jack Hibbs seems like a sincere believer. He speaks well, is funny and charismatic, so I understand why people love him. Sadly, like every Calvary Chapel pastor that I’ve listened to, he’s been misled about prophecy fulfillment explanations. I’ll review the other two videos in his series when I get a chance. Shalom!
I sincerely hope Scott Clark see’s this . Someone send it to him . He seems like a nice guy, just hasn’t got this part correct …yet. As far as I know ,he hasn’t changed his position on the Last Days and Tribulation. That’s unfortunate ,because many listened to him or followed his prediction that the rapture would take place back in Sept.23, 2017. Many on YT stayed up past midnight because the rapture was suppose to take place according to Scott’s astrological calculations. When it didn’t happen, he quickly told everyone the planetary alignment was actually better on the 24th ! That’s just so wrong. I’m just surprised he hasn’t done MORE scripture study and research .
Thank you for sharing Lorie! It’s hard to listen to Scott’s false explanations. He seems very sincere, but he’s way off-target.
