Scott Clarke points to the lower case prince in Daniel 9:26 and says that it’s a different person than the Prince in the previous verse.
The word Prince in Daniel 9:26 was capitalized in the 1611 King James Bible, but it was changed during revisions, perhaps by people who seek to hide the truth of the fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9.
Messiah is the prince to come, as the prophecy points to Him arriving after 69 weeks are fulfilled, meaning in the 70th week. The Jews are the people of the prince to come, as Messiah is of the tribe of Judah.

Scott Clarke says that the people in Daniel 9:26 is different people group than the people of Daniel 9:24.
Daniel told us who the people are many times in Daniel 9, the Jews, so it makes no sense to apply the term to another group.
The people of the prince, the Jews, caused Jerusalem and the temple to be destroyed, as it was their punishment for rejecting the Father’s Son and delivering Him up to be killed.

Scott Clarke says that there’s a ‘white space’ in between Daniel 9:26 and Daniel 9:27, and that’s where we live right now.
The Heavenly Father declared a prophecy of 70 weeks, so it makes no sense to proclaim that the prophecy is fulfilled in a much longer timeframe.
The prophecy points to Messiah carrying out His multiyear ministry and dying for our sins in the middle of the seven years of the 70th week of Daniel 9, to atone for our sins.
It points to the Gospel being proclaimed to the Jews first for seven years, and many believed in Messiah.

Scott Clarke says that Daniel 9:27 points to a Gentile prince who confirms covenant, a peace agreement to avert WW III
The ‘he’ in Daniel 9:27 is still Messiah the Prince who confirmed the everlasting covenant that Daniel referred to in Daniel 9:4.
This ended the need for temple animal sacrifices.
