This Revelation Timeline Decoded post reviews a video by Joel Richardson of FAI STUDIOS called Mahdi = Antichrist.
Before I begin my review of Joel Richardson’s explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
These reviews are not a personal attack on the person, but an open rebuttal of their explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!
Joel Richardson says that the major sign that Jesus warned of in the last days would be the rise of false prophets.
The warning that Joel is referring to is in Messiah’s Olivet Discourse.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:11
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24
The challenge with Joel applying those verses to the end times is that Messiah’s Olivet Discourse was about the judgment of the Jewish nation who sought to kill Him.
Messiah described the events which took place in that generation, which led to the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD; in which 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
Messiah’s disciples heeded His warning and fled to the mountains of Pella in the Decapolis, where they were protected.
Because the warnings in the Olivet Discourse are not about the end times, this makes Joel Richardson a false prophet!

Joel Richardson says that the Bible teaches that the antichrist will rule for a period of seven years.
No, there is no Bible verse which says that! It is the false teaching of men such as Joel Richardson who pervert the explanation of Daniel 9:27!
The concept of a 7-year tribulation is based on a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, but that is a deception to fool the end times saints. The 70th week of Daniel 9 prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the everlasting covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about the end times or the antichrist. Read The 70th Week Of Daniel 9 Decoded
The lie of futurism and an end-times one-man antichrist is a deception which came from Jesuit priests who were empowered to counter the Reformers who proclaimed that the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘antichrist beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome. Because the 70th week of Daniel 9 is not about the end times and the antichrist is not just one man, this makes Joel Richardson a false prophet!
Joel Richardson says that we should take note of what the Qur’an proclaims, to understand who is the antichrist.
This narrative from Joel is way off-target and it’s another deception from Rome!
The Roman Bishops helped write the Qur’an and prop up Mohammed as the prophet, to use Muslims to conquer territory, to kill Jews and Christians and to hide the Scripture Gospel from Arabs.
The Roman beast kingdom is the ‘iron’ and the Muslim army is the ‘clay’ of the ‘iron-clay feet’ of the statue in Daniel 2.
Mohammed’s wife and her cousin were Catholics, who were used to shape his thoughts as the supposed prophet of Islam.
The two false religions of Romanism and Islam are designed to hide the Gospel from many people’s eyes. Today there are 1.3 billion Catholic who believe in a false gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father. And there are 1.9 billion Muslims.
Because the Islamic religion is a deception from Rome, which is the real home of the antichrist beast, this makes Joel Richardson a false prophet!
Joel Richardson’s video features Jonathan Cahn, who says that when you go up to the most sacred spot on the earth in prophecy, the temple mount, there is an Islamic mosque.
This is a grand deception, as what is called the temple mount was the mount of the Roman Antonia Fortress, which overlooked the temple.
The Romans destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the temple, and they left the mount of Antonia Fortress as a monument of their power and authority.
The temple used to be south of Roman Antonia Fortress, but it was completely destroyed, with not one stone upon another, just like Messiah proclaimed.
Read Not One Stone
Because the temple mount was destroyed, this makes Joel Richardson a false teacher!
Joel Richardson teaches a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years. It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Joel Richardson serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.

David,
Excellent commentary on Joel Richardson. I am glad to see others realizing that the “temple mount” was where the Roman fort and barracks were and not the location of the Temple. Such deception and such a waste of time with the narrative of rebuilding the temple and restarting animal sacrifice. What a blasphemy to the sacrifice of our Savior.
Mike
Thank you for your comment Mike! Yeah, the Jews in Israel and the temple mount, are grand deceptions which have fooled the end times saints. Indeed, a temple in which animal sacrifices takes place would not be called a ‘temple of God.’
