This Revelation Timeline Decoded post reviews a video by Joel Richardson of FAI STUDIOS, called ‘Jacob’s Trouble in Jeremiah and Daniel // THE RETURN OF JESUS: Episode 15.’
Video description: MARANATHA Global Bible Study // The Return of Jesus. Episode 15: Jacob’s Trouble in Jeremiah and Daniel.
Before I begin my review of Joel Richardson’s explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
These reviews serve as an open rebuttal of their explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that Daniel 11 is describing the end-times antichrist.
Daniel 2 and Daniel give the vision of four beast kingdoms: Babylon > Medo-Persia > Greece > Rome, with the last one enduring in power until Messiah returns.
Daniel 11:2 speaks of Cyrus, and three leaders who would arise after him, Camyses (Cyrus son), Smerdis, and Darius.
And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
Daniel 11 gives the continuous historical narrative of events of the kingdoms of Medo-Persia, Greece and Antiochus Epiphanes, and then Rome.
Alexander the Great of Greece, the Mighty King, rose up and ruled with great dominion.
The Seleucids (kings of Syria, “the north”) and the Ptolemies (kings of Egypt, “the south”) had incessant wars.
Antiochus Epiphanes, the little horn, leader of the Seleucids, the vile person, surrounded Jerusalem with his armies (the abomination of desolation) and killed 10’s of thousands of Jews. They defiled the sanctuary and caused the daily sacrifice to be taken away for 2,300 days (Daniel 8:14). His persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days.
The Maccabean uprisings delivered the Jews in the reign of Antiochus, and faithfully served their people as rulers and priests for 130 years.
The Jewish Maccabean Revolt was a conflict, lasting from 167 to 160 BC, between a Judean rebel group known as the Maccabees and the Seleucid Empire. The Seleucid Empire was a Hellenistic state ruled by the Seleucid dynasty founded by Seleucus I Nicator following the division of the empire created by Alexander the Great.
Roman King Herod exalted himself above all gods (leaders). To protect his kingdom, he decreed for the slaughter of the babes of Bethlehem, in an attempt to kill baby Jesus. Caesar Augustus conquered many countries such as Egypt, and took power of their treasures.
Daniel 11 is not about an end-times antichrist, as Joel Richardson claims.
Read The Beasts Of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that Daniel 12:1 is describing the end of the age, before Messiah’s return.
Daniel 12 is an expansion of the fulfillment of the seventy weeks of Daniel 9 prophecy, as it foretold that Jerusalem and the temple would be destroyed because of the abominations of the Jews. It’s not about the end times.
The Jews who believed in Messiah were saved from the time of trouble for the unbelieving Jews during the 3 1/2 years of the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD, as they heeded Messiah’s warning in the Olivet Discourse to flee Judea to the mountains for protection.
Messiah referred to this same time of trouble in His Olivet Discourse, which was about the events that led up to the time of great tribulation for the Jewish nation, in that generation.
Daniel 12 and the Olivet Discourse are not about the end times, as Joel Richardson claims.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios says that there will be nothing like the time of Jacob’s Trouble.
Indeed, there has been nothing like the time of Jacob’s Trouble, when in the small city of Jerusalem, 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
Somehow, Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas don’t assign that horrible time for the Jewish nation to any prophecy, as they proclaim that Daniel 12 and the Olivet Discourse are about the end times.
Joel Richardson of FAI Studios points the many who sleep in the dust of the ground and assign it to the resurrection.
This isn’t about Messiah’s second coming, rather it’s about waking up people who are spiritually dead.
Referring to the beginning of Messiah’s ministry, Matthew 4:14-16 says, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death, Light has dawned. From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Messiah said, “The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.” John 5:25
Paul affirmed this, “Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” Ephesians 5:14
Messiah, the Light of the World, shined on them during His 3.5 year ministry, which occurred during the 70th week of Daniel. Some accepted Him as their Messiah and were saved to everlasting life; some rejected Him and were condemned.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18
Sadly, Joel Richardson’s explanations cause people to not understand the historical fulfillment of key prophecies which validate the authority of the Bible and the deity of Messiah.
I pray that this posts helps wake you up, so that you can see how the enemy has deceived the end-times saints, for Messiah’s return draw nigh and you don’t want to be caught off-guard like the foolish virgins who don’t have the oil of Scriptural truth to light their way.
Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas teach a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years. It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.
