  1. Thank you for this wealth of information and a scriptural explanation for the prophecies in Daniel and Revelation. I too have been studying and praying for a long time and was pleased that the Lord led me to your website after first exploring many other prophecy sites in search of the answers as well as just studying for myself. I’m not a history buff so never thought that Revelation could be a prophecy of future historical events happening from 95AD to the present time. I had discovered the truth of Daniel’s 70th week through the Seventh Day Adventist info online but their interpretations of prophecies after did not seem right. Especially after setting a date for the “Rapture” that didn’t happen.

My question is that you speak of the 7 forms of government that existed during the reign of the Roman Empire. Can you clarify what those are or if I have missed the explanation somewhere in your study notes. I’ve tried to research it through other online sources but only came up with 1. Monarchy 2. Republic 3. Empire 4.Divided Kingdom 5. Papal Rule 6. Jesuit Rule ???????

    • Thank you for your comment Kathy! I was never into history, but now I love it because it shows the exact fulfillment of Revelation.

The 7 forms of government which led to the 8th king, the Popes of Rome, rising to power over Rome is explained in this Revelation 17 study.
      http://revelationtimelinedecoded.com/revelation-17-the-harlot-roman-catholic-church/

Revelation 17:10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time.

At the time that John wrote Revelation, five forms of the Roman kingdom had come and gone; 1) Kings, 2) Consuls, 3) Dictators, 4) Decemvirs, and 5) Military Tribunes.

The sixth form of the Roman government was the Imperial head, commencing with Octavian, better known as Augustus Caesar. This form of government existed in John’s day and was in power until the last Emperor was removed in 476 A.D.

During the ‘short space‘ until the 8th head would arrive; the seventh head of the Roman beast was the Dukedom of Rome. Renowned historian Edward Gibbons tells us that Italy was divided unequally between the kingdom of the Lombards and the Exarchate of Ravenna.

John was being told that the Harlot described in verses 1-6, the Roman Catholic Church, would rise to power after the seven forms of government of the Roman Empire.

The Popes of Rome were empowered by Eastern Emperor Justinian in 538 A.D., which was a ‘short space‘ after the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D.

This is the same message that Paul gave in 2 Thessalonians 2, when he said that the Son of Perdition would rise to power when the ‘restrainer,’ the Roman Emperors, were removed.

Remember, Paul and John had to hide their message, as they couldn’t write that the Roman Empire would be destroyed, as that would have invited more persecution from Rome.

      • Your last statement is inaccurate. They weren’t afraid of persecution. John spoke in figurative language, because he was trying to describe in human words a vision from God. John was also exiled to an island for life where he couldn’t be persecuted. Paul is by no means “afraid” of persecution. Acts 14:19-20 “Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day, he and Barnabas left for Derbe.” Why would would they want to hide the gospel? The whole book of Acts is the apostles and Paul preaching Jesus life, death, and resurrection to the whole world. Paul even continued to write from prison IN Rome. I find it interesting that you say the “Son of Perdition” will rise to power after those 7 Roman forms of rulers; it seems logical to use a definite number to describe this event in this way. However, it was these 7 things that held back the papacy as the Antichrist, it is God’s word. There is an actual being holding it back too, which is unknown. But that’s the point. You ought not to specifically blame one thing for holding back the Antichrist, because it doesn’t say exactly in God’s Word. In 2 Thessalonians 2:8 it is said that the “man of lawlessness” (which is the “papacy” or Pope”) will be revealed in Christ’s splendor, referring to his second coming. The only spot in the New Testament that refers to Jesus “coming” as his first coming, is 2 Timothy 1:10. Therefore, the Antichrist will not be revealed or destroyed until Jesus second coming. While we are obviously incredibly 100% sure the papacy is the very Antichrist, it is not specifically stated that way in the bible. Every evidence in the Bible points to that, and every blunder of the papacy only helps contribute to our beliefs, it is not good to provide definitive answers pertaining to who holds the papacy back or who the restrainer is. A question I have relates to the statement I made before I referenced 2 Thessalonians 2:8: Are you (David and your apparent associates because in the “Contacts” section you, David, say “we”) of a certain denomination? A certain synod? Can I credit your sources or religious beliefs to an organization or a synod? Do you mind sharing that information? I will gladly say that I am from the WELS synod. That is where I get my beliefs from (because we get our beliefs from God’s word). In order not to call a bad name down on my synod, I will recognize that this whole response could be taken as arguing for the sake of arguing, but I sincerely hope you don’t take it that way. I am legitimately concerned about what you believe and what you’re doing. It’s also very intriguing. I am still in secondary level school, and we’re talking about the Antichrist and I was writing a paper, and found this web site as a source, and one thing lead to another, and I found this particular section and questioned it. I thought, well, what better way to prove my source’s legitimacy than to use the bible and ask the author himself. I hope that you don’t see any or most of the material in this response as my opinion; I used the bible for it (God’s word). In a way it’s my opinion, but only because I used God’s word to support what I think because I get what I think from what God says and I follow Him.

        • Excuse a wording mistake I made. It should say, “However, it was NOT these 7 things holding back the papacy as the Antichrist, it is the Word of Truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

        • My last statement Brett? What are you referring to? This page? Another study? One of my comments?

I don’t recall saying that anyone was afraid of persecution. But Paul and John wrote in a way to hide the message from those who should not have, such as the Romans, to prevent increased persecution. Being prudent and being afraid are two different things.

Paul was clearly pointing to the Roman Emperors holding back the Pope from taking power.
We can see that as the Popes of Rome were given power in 538 A.D., shortly after the least Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 A.D. http://revelationtimelinedecoded.com/the-different-phases-of-the-satan-empowered-roman-beast/

This website was written by me. There is no synod or denomination. My studies are based on the writings of the great theologians of the 16th-20th centuries, who wrote whole Bible commentaries before the futuristic deceptions took hold in the church. They are listed on the about page. They and I are in agreement. That is the only ‘we’.

I hope that answers your questions. Keep learning and growing in The Way!

  2. Hi David , Ive only recently discovered your website and am enjoying it immensely. Thank you for all your hard work in creating such a valuable site.

I’ve a query from watching your YouTube channel.
And prefer to post it here.

In regards to a One World Government, can you see this occuring through the endless treaties and pacts we see all Governments signing (linking them together as one) rather than a completely New Government being established?

Also the new financial system that rises from a global collapse, being one that’s based on carbon credits?
The current Jesuit Pope is constantly pushing the global warming con so it seems like something he’d be in favour of.

Apologies if you’ve covered this before and I’ve yet to find it.

    • Hi Cassandra, sorry for the slow response! In order for the Jesuit General of Rome to control all of the world in the One World Government, they have been busy building a huge organizational structure of people in government, finance, media, etc. So yes, all of the treaties and pacts are part of that.

But I think that the worldwide economy will collapse, and nobody will be able to buy and sell; and that the antichrist Pope will proclaim that they have been planning for this inevitable event (which they caused) and he will offer a one-world financial system that will allow people who join with them, to be able to buy and sell again.

I think that the global warming con is just another way to tax people and steal their money, and to push their agenda of a global solution, a one world solution, to ‘save mankind’. By pushing this supposed agenda, countries have to come together as one.

      I hope that helps!

the coning of the lord is an ongoing present tense event in his people since the cross
Joh 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
please notice the present tense verbs in the verse above
the kingdom is ongoing present tense for repentant spirit filled believers

  4. Hi David,

Thank you very much for your teaching videos, articles and responding in the past to my questions! I’ve continued to study preterism and futurism, as well. Great confirmation for me that the historicist view is truth. I’ve had a great peace about our heavenly hope but now my family’s earthly future doesn’t frighten me.

We’re coming out of hyper dispensationalism and our home group has shrunk from folks relocating. Do you or your guests know of any like-minded fellowships in southeastern Va/northeastern NC. And what denomination(s), if any, would you recommend as an alternative? I don’t want to re-join what some would call the harlot’s daughters but we can’t find like-minded folks. Our two children are becoming dissatisfied with our home fellowship for many reasons. This concerns me.

    Thank you, David.

    • You’re welcome Lorrie, I’m glad that the studies are helping you. Yeah, once you see the historical fulfillment of prophecy, then the future isn’t quite as daunting.

I don’t know of any groups in VA or NC. Facebook may be the best bet to connect with like-minded people in your area.

I understand how children want to be a part of a church, with all of the activities. I know it’s tough, for the road is narrow.

I pray that a fellowship is place in your path soon!
      David
